Hi,

I have just started using Windows Live Mail 2012 with Windows 7, and generally very happy with it. One slight annoyance is what happens when I double click on the new mail notification icon (the one with the yellow envelope in front of the blue one). This takes me to the inbox of the default email account, even if the new mail has arrived in one of my other email accounts! When there is no new mail, double clicking this icon (blue envelope only) takes me to whatever folder/account I was last viewing (which makes sense). Ideally I would like the new mail notification icon to take me to the Quick views/Unread email folder. Is this possible?

Regards,

Adrian

I can print from anywhere in any program to any printer (I have two). But I cannot print messages from Windows Live Mail. I can print the messages if I open my mail in my ISP's web site. I have uninstalled and re-installed Windows Essentials but this makes no difference. Any answer I have seen on the forums do not deal with this question exactly. There is not even an option for this at the bottom of the page where it asks for Product, Topic, email topic etc.
How do I add names to an existing 'Category' (Group Name) using Windows Live Mail?

For the past couple years on my Dell laptop, I have used Windows Live Mail to organise my e-mail accounts. One from Hotmail and another  account. However, last week for some unknown reason, I was unable to send or forward any e-mails from the account, even though I was receiving mail in both accounts.  Today, I cannot even access it at all. I keep getting a message up saying that C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR110.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

I have tried unsucessfully to download the file from various websites offering downloads, but nothing seems to work.  I can still receive and send e-mails using my Hotmail account, but I had numerous folders on my Live Mail system which I can no longer access.  Any ideas how to reinstall this damn file or just to get access to my folders?

Trying to access Gmail via POP in Windows Live Mail (Win 7 Pro). POP enabled and IMAP disabled in Gmail. But when conficuting servers in WLM, there is no way to change IMAP to POP as there is no arrow beside IMAP box on servers page.
I use an internet service provider (Cox Communications) for my email and the Windows 8 Windows Live Mail client (just upgraded from Windows XP and Outlook Express).   I have many duplicates in Contacts, spent hours deleting and when I logged back in, they had all returned.  I don't use Hotmail nor do I want to.  I actually keep my 'good' list of contacts in gmail as that seems to be the only thing I can figure out and which seems to work.   But I'd like to be able to delete the 5000 contacts in the Windows Live Mail Contact folder and start over.  Any solution to this?
I am currently using Windows Live Mail. My messages are marked as "sent" but no one is receiving them. Can you help me?
As above in that the "sent section" of Windows Live Mail shows empty when I have sent mail.
I have set up three different accounts on Windows live mail to email accounts using POP servers.  On all three accounts, the incoming mail never arrives in Live mail and it is deleted from the host account.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Windows Live is set to leave mail on the server.
