I travel frequently and do NOT want Outlook to update my calendar with its local time zone settings (but I DO want my computer to update the display time).  When I make appointments, I make them according to the local time zone where I'll be traveling.  I do not want to hassle with setting the appointment to the time zone where I'll be traveling.  Is there a way to turn time zone support OFF?
I can sign in to my hotmail acct & see a screwed up page with no emails listed. If I scroll down, I see the last email I received was 11/23. The page is frozen; doesn't allow any activity! I have tried a number of fix-its including installing Firefox as new browser but I get a grayed-out page of choices. Tried doing a different way buy got message saying this was not available to me. I CAN get on Hotmail from a Dell Desktop so this problem seems to be related only to Apple Products! What can I do as the Dell is old & I was about to throw it out! So much for the quality of Apple products! More trouble than they're worth! None of the suggestions offered from MSN, Hotmail Support, geeks, etc  have worked so what now?
My email hotmail contacts list most often doesn't come up when I click on 'Contacts'.  But I can still import email addresses from the list into the 'To' box.  By the way, I hate the new contacts list format:  It's much too big, so scrolling down takes longer, and there's nowhere to click straight back into Inbox - I have to do two clicks, one on the arrow and the other on Mail.  And there's no alphabet to allow the user to click immediately on the letter for the person.  It's extremely unfriendly.  And why can I no longer click back from one screen to another with an arrow?

I am getting emails that look suspicious too me, telling me that my account will be closed unless I provide information that I believe would support identity theft. I do not want my account to close, but I do not want to fall prey to a fraud scheme either. Is this email valid? If so, is there I way I can correct the problem without simply replying to an unknown sender? The text of the latest one is below:

I have the formatting set for HTML, yet I have to go up on each email, select HTML under format so I can add bold text to my signature.
Should I create the signature in Word or something, get it set the way I want, then put it into outlook? Meanwhile, until I go up to format and select HTML, I do not have the formatting options available.

Hi,

In Outlook 2011, I have several folders where I store old mail locally, rather than keep it all online in my Exchange mailbox, which has a limited size.

Now I want to backup the folder with my old mail. However, dragging the folder to desktop creates an empty mbox file, because ZERO subfolders are included. Who came up with a silly solution like that?

Is there a way to store folders including subfolders without exporting everything to an .olm file (which in 99 out of 100 cases results in parts of the mail not saved anyhow)? I can only go through every folder manually and drag them to finder, which sucks. A lot!

Cheers

Joe
Is there any way for me to get back an "old" hotmail account? Haven't used it as a main email account for about a decade, but have been in sporadic use. Did use it for msn messenger, and had a Games for windows live tied to it. Haven't played a GFWL game for ages until today, and when I tried to sign in with the password I believed to be, it was wrong.

Set the account up in the late 90s, and the secure question I had was vague enough for me to have no idea what the answer was. And since it haven't been used as a email account since forever, things like "Subjects of your recently sent emails " and "Email addresses of contacts you've recently sent emails to" is impossible for me to answer.
I have a number of mails of the same format being sent to me that I want to save as files with slightly different titles each time.  There doesn't seem to be any way of saving the whole mail to reproduce on my hard drive
