I am unable to send e-mails at present. I have contacted my Service Provider but all is in order on their side....

I previously asked this question and have carried out the following recommended actions.

After a break in a computer free zone I have carried out the following tests as recommended.

1. Accessing my Outlook a/c using a different computer and different service provider. Outlook is O.K

  1. Accessing my account using my computer and using a different service provider. Outlook is corrupt.

  2. Cache/cookiies cleared from Firefox 24. Outlook is corrupt

  3. Latest version of Firefox is installed. Outlook is corrupt.

The conclusion I would draw from this is that the problem originates in my computer.

Is there anything else I can try?


I didn't know why my emails were going to outlook AND the free webmail from my service provider (optus).  After many calls between microsoft and optus I was told that my email should be POP.  Optus have all webmail set to pop but the outlook is IMAP.  Microsoft cannot help because they said it was not in waranty agreement???? The problem is that I have a very limited capacity with free optus webmail and because what happens in one happens in the other, including deleting, so my outlook is so limited it's next to usless.  I have very limited computer skills and cannot do this alone. Please help

I just bought  window 8 and outlook  mail program. HAD A TECH COME AND SET IT UP AND I GUESS HE DID NOT KNOW AND NETIHER DID I THAT MY SERVICE PROVIDER DOES NOT SUPPORT WINDOW 8 . I CONTACTED THEM AND THEY GAVE ME INSTRUCTION ON WHAT TO DO,, THEIR INSTRUCTION DID NOT WORJK. I HAVE TRIED CHANGING IT TO IMAP AND THAT IS NOT WORKING EITHER. I  AM PRETTY NEW AT ALL THIS AND REALLY NEED SOME SIMPLE INSTRUCTION ON WHAT TO DO.

I ALSO KEEP GETTING A BOX THAT WANTS ME TO SIGN IN TO HOTMAIL WITH A PASSWORD, I NEVER HAD A HOT MAIL ACCOUNT.

MICRO SOFT IS NOT A BIG HELP EITHER AS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND EITHER AN EMAIL OR PHONE NO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

ALL THE ONE I HAVE COME ACROSS WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR THEIR HELP.

I use Windows Live Mail 2011 running on IE 10 and Windows 7.

 

When I set up a message rule to forward incoming emails to another account (at another service provider), Live Mail replaces the original senders' email with my email.  Then I can't tell who the email was from.  Why?  Can this be corrected?

Hi airtel telecom is my service provider for broadband in Pune,India. The past fifteen days I have noticed that I can't log in to Outlook.com and I couldn't understand why. My office has another service provider and I am able log in from there with no trouble. When I took this up with airtel customer care they confirmed that they were aware that there was an issue but that problem was at "Microsoft" end. They expected the problem to resolved in a couple of days. That was six days ago. I am still not able to check my mail from home. 
Please help.

I have a business acct with my service provider and a personal Hotmail account. Some emails are going to both accounts in my Windows Live Mail program. I have checked the offending senders to make sure they do not have both addresses and they do not but they still come thru to both email addresses??? Please help...
