the search function no longer works.  fixes?
Is anyone getting the attached error message every 20 minutes or so while using Outlook 2011 on Mac after the Mavericks Update? Outlook is crashing for apparently no reason.

No updates appear to be available.

Thanks!
I am seeing choppy / jumpy scrolling in the preview pane (technically called the reading pane) in version 14.3.8 of Outlook 2011 on my 13 inch Retina MBP.

I have the preview pane below the email list and they are sharing the vertical space about 50/50.  When an email is long enough to require scrolling in the reading pane, the scrolling in that pane is very choppy -- I don't believe this was the case before my update to Mavericks about 10 days ago.  I have applied all available Office and OS updates and rebooted.  I am using the trackpad and the 2 finger gesture to scroll, in case that makes any difference.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I did not upgraded to Mavericks just to avoid this, but immediately after the automatic upgrading of iTunes to 11.1.3 my outlook is no longer syncing with Mac Calendar and address Book (and as a consequence does not longer sync with my phone)

I have tried everything, including downgrading the iTunes (which did not seem feasible after thousands of trials)
Could anyone help me? this is really frustrating -

I have recently upgraded my iMac to the new Maverick system, whilst having Mac Office 2011 installed. Now i get a problem with outlook dropping the connection to my mail server (BT) and then reloading EVERY email still on the server. This happens 2 or three times a day and is becoming a pain. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what has to be done to fix it please?
Hi,
I reinstalled Office for Mac 2011 after upgrading to Mavericks. After configuration of incoming and outgoing email server I'm not able anymore to send emails. I made exactly the same configuration in my MacBookPro's "MAIL", where I can send emails without any problems. For authentication of outgoing server I confirmed "same information as incoming server". Any idea what could happen?
Many thanks in advance,

Hi,

I've encouterd a strange problem in MS outlook for Mac since I upgraded to Mavericks.
The characters ' and " are automatically changed to , and ,,
How do I fix this problem?

Hello,

I'm encountering the same issue and am hoping for some more ideas.

I've completely deleted they keychain and created a new logon,.keychain. I've also tried a new outlook Identity. I've repaired permissions and repaired the keychain once the error is encoutered.

I've recently gone as far as creating a new OSX profile and reconfiguring all email accounts. This is of course on a new outlook identity since this is a new profile and of course this is a new keychain.

Any troubleshooting advice would be appreciated as I am running out of ideas.
This seems to have happened after the Maverick update. No more microsoft or apple udpates have been found.

[Original post was for Exchange account. All new questions regarding Mavericks need to be new for best results.]
the saga continues with my Outlook issue following an update to Mavericks.  I've followed all the advice I can find on this forum.  Until someone releases an update to resolve this issue, I'm now wondering if there's a pref file I might want to delete that could be the source of my trouble

Trouble as:
  • emails re-downloading (unresolved by rebuilding identity, reinstalling office, creating new identity
  • Outlook hanging when I click on "advanced" in the accounts page
  • unable to send emails, despite having created brand new account with all the identical settings

with gratitude in advance,

Patrick
Hi.
MacBookPro Retina
Mavericks 10.9
Office 14.3.8
Every time I light on my mac, without open Outlook, the system rebuild the identity and wait a lot of time before the blue progressive bar works. I have an SSD HD, I don't understand why!

[Issues with Mavericks need to be in their own post not added to a post from 2012. I'm moving this to a new post to get the attention it deserves.]
