Hi,

My Outlook 2011 for Mac is super slow in syncing emails. I have 2000 items in my inbox and few sub-folders (not part of the Inbox folder) containing 1000 items each. When I send an email it gets sent instantly and when I receive emails that match rules, they get quick as well. It is only un-categorized emails that go to main Inbox are really delayed by 30min and more.

I can see constant messages at the bottom like: "Updating local folder" and "Determining changes"

Let me clarify few things before anyone suggests a fix:

1. It's not a network issue. Other devices on same network work fine.

2. I tried creating and new Identity and reducing number of items in inbox and sub-folders

3. I have late 2013 rMBP with 2.8ghz i7 with 16GB ram and pcie SSD so hardware is not a problem here.

What could be the problem? It's really annoying as I simply cannot use it for work.

Thanks

Dominik

Upgrading a friends' 2011 MacBook Pro 15″ from Snow Leopard to Mavericks broke the Outlook identity.

There seems to be a problem with rebuilding the Main identity using the Microsoft Database Utility. I already tried to manually copy the essential folders of the (old) main identity to a new identity using finder and rebuilt it, so far without success. Every try ends in error [-18000]

The main identity has a size of approximately 10GB

Anybody experienced the same problem?

Situation:
iMac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
MS Office + Outlook 365
To install this 365 you need to have Office for Mac 2011 in place.
When we download (from MS site) Office for Mac 2011, it installs 2011 except for Outlook. Here is 2008 installed...
Don't understand why.

We also need to sync calendar and contacts with iCloud. Can anyone advise me here...
I have been using Apple mail but after a "new install" of Mavericks I decided to change to Outlook 2011.  I have patched to 14.3.9 and the program simply doesn't sync IMAP emails correctly.  I have 3 IMAP accounts and if I send an email from any one of those accounts to all the others it can take upwards of 30 minutes or more to sync the emails in the boxes without manual intervention.  If I click on each email account in outlook then it will download them immediately.  If I click on send receive it will download them immediately.  I notice that only the Default email account will "automatically" sync and that is slow and sometimes works, sometimes don't.  Here is what I have tried to remedy

I unchecked the AppNap in the outlook file get info
I allowed all incoming connections via the OSX firewall
I have rebuilt and replaced identities several times and did a clean install of mavericks and outlook
I have changed the default email account around
I have changed the scheduled sync settings

Any advice is appreciated as I have had no luck searching on this issue
I recently installed Mac OS X 10.9 (alias Mavericks) and noticed that encryption of outgoing emails is broken.
I can sign emails and I can decrypt emails I received- but the necessary certificates for encryption are not available. It seems the certificates of signed emails I receive are not added to the keychain and therefor not available for encryption. So far I have not found a way to manually add certificates to the keychain. Has anyone else noticed this problem? Is there a workaround or a fix to this issue?

Skydrive has periodically required a reinstall on Mac OSX.  This occurred about once a month, annoying but still worked.

Now after upgrade to OSX (10.9) Mavericks, the Startup/INstall for Skydrive will not go past the Select Folder screen.   Just sits there……even after clicking to select Folder.   I am able to sign in, trigger two-step security process and insert MS Code for security, but next window asking you to select the Skydrive folder won't do anything.  It never opens a selection window to point to the skydive Folder to create (location).

I have fully uninstalled Skydrive, automatically and manually.  All Containers apps uninstalled and Folders Gone. Restarted Mac.

Then Downloaded the newest version (17) from MS Site and attempted a clean reinstall……Yet, I Can not get past the select Folder window on reinstall.

FYI:  Removed skydive folder and all contents to back drive off this system so there are no remnants of the prior SkyDrive on this Mac.  Its a clean install.

Also, Skydrive does work an my home mac (osx Mavericks mac mini) and the setup/configuration of this other Mac is very similar and is synching there fine.

Help!
Runnin IMac with Mavericks and MS Office 2011 for Mac. Cannot get the hotmail account in Outlook to work. I have deleted the POP account and readded wtih out success.

Any Ideas,

Thank you,

After upgrading to Mac OS X 10.9 I am no longer able to preview / quick look at PowerPoint attachments sent to my Outlook / Exchange account.

There is a quick look window that opens but it does not allow me to look at any of the slides besides the title slide of the deck.  I was able to do this before upgrading to Mavericks.

I am able to quick look at PowerPoint files within the Finder.

OS X 10.9
Outlook 14.3.8
PowerPoint 14.3.8

Recommendations?

Since upgrading to Mac OS 10.9 (Mavericks) I've had nothing but problems from SkyDrive. I've tried completely removing it, including the Library/Containers items. At the moment it appears to be constantly trying to upload two files, it is persistently showing network activity. In the last three hours it has uploaded 87.4MB and downloaded 485MB (which is more than the entire contents of my SkyDrive folder) and it is showing no times of stopping.

Before the last delete and re-install of SkyDrive 17.0, I was seeing activity information as shown in the attached image. At present it continually shows "Updating 2 files" and "Uploading 0KB of 14KB".

At the moment it is unusable. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated!
A recent upgrade to OSX Mavericks has disabled the Synch Services function in Outlook for Mac 2011.  Apples says that Microsoft has known about this change and that Microsoft will have to provide new functionality to enable iCloud synch services.  Has anyone figured out a way to make synch work in this environment?
