Here are some ways to help you manage your account after you reconfirm your account.
  1. Create an archive - Set up a folder on your PC’s hard drive where you can save large attachments. Then just delete them from your inbox. You’ll still have them and your inbox will be that much smaller.
  2. Make your filters work for you- Did you know you can set up your Hotmail account to immediately delete junk e-mail? Go to Options, and click Filters and reporting. Under the “Delete junk e-mail” section, select Immediately to delete junk e-mail right away. Once you’re finished, click Save and you’re done.
  3. Delete a bunch of mail at once- Go to your Junk and Deleted folders, and clear them out by clicking the “Empty” button in the action bar.
If you have more questions, please read our help topic on Hotmail storage.

Hi,
I can no longer just add new contacts to my contact list. When I hit "contacts" it takes me to an alphabetized page of contacts from a-z with no way of adding or doing anything except scrolling down the list. Then I cannot get back to my  email inbox. Help..thank you!
So I'm in my Hotmail inbox.  I go to Contacts.  Then I want to go back to my inbox.  There is no link.  Sometimes I have to go all the way out of hotmail & sign in again, which is a big pain in the ---.   Once in awhile the back arrow works, but often it doesn't.
I would like to get a text message notifying me that I have a new email in my Hotmail inbox. I do not have a smartphone. I cannot find any place in the options where I can set this up.
When Outlook is opened, all previously received messages in the inbox must be reloaded -- and they reload in unopened status, as if they have not previously been read. That is, they are reloaded as if they have never been opened. If loaded in the order received, about 5,000 must be reloaded before the most recently received e-mails are seen. How do I restore the sanity of having only the previously unseen messages in my inbox reload when Outlook is opened?
all of the messages I have saved in my Hotmail INBOX disappeared on Wed (9/12/12) where are they, how do I get them back
How do I sort my Inbox on "sender" as in previous versions eg Vista?
Suddenly things are screwed up. I have never had trouble like this. When I click on contacts I get this weird screen with my list on it but I can't get back to my inbox.
