How do I transfer my "People" individual and group contacts from my Hotmail account to my gmail Google acct, and then to my Android cell phone and and to my Amazon Kindle Fire?

Is there any way for me to add contacts? I've already wasted enough time on this. If there's not a simple solution I'll just cancel my hotmail accounts & move on to something a little more user friendly.
With the new People format, I cannot delete people forom my Groups catagory, nor do I know how to develope new Groups. HELP please as I need to change some people in certain groups for my business.
Hello. I have hotmail and it now uses People for the contacts list. However, the phone numbers don't seem to have carried over. Also, when I enter a new contact, there's a "phone" designation but no box to enter the phone number and no apparent functionality.
How can I solve these 2 problems? I'm not a technically savy person. Thanks.

How do I find my contacts? Now PEOPLE comes up with nothing below it. PEOPLE is something new to me.
Also how can I remove one person/email from a group that I send to?
