Just installed Office for Mac H&B 2011 . Outlook does not allow me to add an email account. It keeps frozen.  I have downloaded 14.1.0 update this has not resolved the issue.  I am able to set up an Exchange account but when I try to use a email account it freezes and the red/green bullet lights go out leaving the minimise button. I am running Apple Mail on my mac with no problem

how do I archive my entire exchange mail folder to my desktop outlook

I am using Outlook 2011 on a Mac.  I have set up a rule to move my exchange Inbox to my desktop, but it is not enough to keep my exchange account from becoming full.  I want to move all of the folder information to my desktop to archive and save for future reference.

I opened Outlook mac 2011 version and was unsuccessful in setting up my exchange account. Now when I open Outlook, I cannot find a way to try and set up an exchange accoun again

I opened up Outlook for Mac version 2011.  I have never used it before.  I tried to set up an exchange account and it failed. Now when I open Outlook, I cannot find out how to try and set up an exchange account again.  I tried under tools, but there is no option vailable.  How do I try and set up an exchange account again after I have already opened Outloo once and failed?

Outlook 2011, With the unified inbox turned on Status bar shows Outlook connected to one of the Shared Calendar users that I have added.

Exchange 2010 environment. Client's Outlook connected to Exchange account. OSX 10.7.5.  When the client clicks on Unified inbox the Outlook status bar shows that  it is connected to "User" instead of connected to Exchange. That user is the first shared calendar on the list of shared calendars that the client is attached to.   If I remove that users calandar then the status shows connected to the next user  that matches the next calendar on the list. This is a recent change in behavior with Outlook.

If I turn off Unified inbox the Status Bar shows the correctly the connection to Exchange.

If that were the only problem then I'd think there was a bug in the status display. However, On occasion, Email will not send an email with a message that you can't send because you aren't authorized to send from that account.  It is as if Outlook is trying to send through the attached calendar user's account for which they are not authorized to do.  If the client reopens the message and sends again then the messages will send. With the unified inbox turned off the problem appears to go away however, only time will tell for sure.

Clues to what is going on here and how to fix? The client would prefer to use the unified inbox.

Hello,

i just have installed my emailaccount from my firm to store all older emails - we have a policy on the server that email will be deleted after 5 years.
Is it possible, when i download everything to my mac via exchange, that i can say somewhere in the options that the programm isn´t allowed to delete emails from the macbook?

Hi there,

I have just installed Office 2011 on my mac and want to use Outlook for my emails. How can I set up my microsoft exchange email which is a @live.com email?

I do not want a POP email as I check my emails on other devices. I have worked out how to add an exchange email etc, but don't know what the server is or anything which I need to type in. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks,
Leigh
