Good day,
I have a Mac with Outlook 2011 as my main address but have several accounts.

The computer blocked (mackeeper was trying to install without my consent) and I had to turn the machine off using the power button.

Since I have lost 9 months of emails and yet earlier ones are there. I made a full update to the time machine just a few weeks ago.

Having gone through your forum I thought the obvious answer was either to try to rebuild or to repair. I followed all the steps (closing all applications, copied the user file, trashed the old folder identity and copied the new one, etc.). And inspite even deleting entirely the "Main Identity" folder it keeps opening with all the other emails (except the missing 9 months) and it does not prompt to rebuild.

Please could you tell why this happened and how to effectively recover all my email.

Kind Regards
Hi all,

My wife and I recently purchased a MacBook Air and Office for Mac, and I'm having trouble configuring her Outlook accounts so that she can sync with her two iPhones (one for work, one for personal use). She was previously using Outlook for PC, so she has brought a lot of data to the conversion.

I can't understand where I should put her Calendar and Note information. Here is what I can figure out after talking to her:

1. She has an account for her company that is provided via a Microsoft Exchange server. Her company sometimes posts calendar information, such as meetings and appointments, into this account for all of the employees to see.

2. She also has a large amount of old notes and appointments that she doesn't need to share with other employees,  but are quite vital to her work.

3. There is also a large number of personal entries in Notes and Calendar that she didn't classify, and she had previously entered these (in her PC version of Outlook) on her company profile.

So my questions are:

1. Should I continue to use JUST her MS Exchange Server account for all Calendar entries, including personal things etc, or should I put personal things into the 'On My Computer' account? When, in fact, should I use the 'On My Computer' account? It seems that many people turn this off in Preferences.

2. She can only sync up to her work MS exchange Server via wifi when she is in her office. Will this pose a problem when working from home?

3. Will her iPhone automatically sync up to the 'On My Computer' calendar entries by default?

Thanks very much for your help!

Regards,
ANDREW

In hotmail, my contact list will not come up on one computer but will on the other. This problem just started a week ago. The computer I am having problems with runs IE 8 and the other, where it works runs IE 9. Is this the problem, and if so, why did it just start? Is there a way I can get it to work on the computer with IE8? Thanks.
I have a couple of different Windows Live accounts, which I use for both email (Hotmail) and messenger.  On one of these accounts I can no longer sign into messenger via Windows Live.  Regardless of the password that is entered, Windows Live goes through the normal process of loading my account, but stays at the starting up part.  When this happens the computer freezes and nothing else will load.  This only happens with one account, other accounts load up and run properly.

I have a new computer and am now using IE exclusively.

On my old computer, I used Firefox and had spell check in

Hotmail.  Now,with IE, I do not.  Is there spell check available in

Hotmail using IE?

The next day I am no longer logged in. The log in box  is no longer available. Instead, I see a page that indicates that there is some sort of problem. I can fix the problem (the log in box appears as usual when  I click the Windows Live Messenger button) by restarting the computer. But the solution is good for one day only.
I just hit the button that say: "New Calendar" by mistake.  It created a new "On My Computer" calender, even though one already exists.  How can I delete it.  Since it was that easy to create.  I should be that easy to delete, but I can't find a way to delete it anywhere.
I do not want any email clients from Microsoft please tell me how I can uninstall them from my computer.
When I go to contacts all I get is a page to delete groups.  I do not find a way to work with my groups or manage them.  I feel like a new update has taken away this or that I do not have all that I need on my computer.  I am stumped.  What should I do?

I can't search in hotmail on this computer. i get the following result:  "We didn't find any results for "subject:      "

I have tried the Explorer browser and Google Chrome browser.

I am able to search in hotmail on my other computer.

What should i do to get the hotmail search function to work again on this computer??  Thanks.
