Apple Mail still does not work with gmail (IMAP or ActiveSync)

If you want to use apple mail then only office360 (exchange) is possible.

And that's too expensive for a home user. When this problem is solved once? Will there be an office preview for the MAC

I recently restored my operating system OSX Lion. I then restored from my Time Machine Backup. I used the (Command R Power keys to initiate this). It completed without errors (eventually).

All Apps that I tried seemed to have been recovered successfully except when I attempted to load my MS Office for MAC Apps.  It asked me to reinstall My Tdisk failed and was replaced under AppleCare. I then restored from my Time Machine Backup. I used the (Command R Power keys to initiate this). It completed without errors (eventually).

Does anyone have a solution?

On my MAC I lost all my email contacts in outlook and I need to know how to get them back.  I still have my group contacts but not individual contacts.  It seemed to happen after I activated the iCloud and switch it on in my iPhone and iPad.  I went and changed it to off but the contacts are not back.  HELP or any suggestions on what happened!  CigarBoB
I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 on a Mac Book Pro with 4 GB of RAM.

I have three accounts set up in Outlook 2011 -- two Exchange accounts on a corporate server and one Gmail account. My database is just under 1 GB. I have a considerable amount of mail stored in the computers under "On this computer."

In the last week the program has become unusably slow. Double-clicking on a message and opening it takes about 15 seconds. I get the spinning beach ball nearly every time I open a message.

Should I rebuild my database? Trash preferences? Please help. I may have to abandon ship.

Thanks.
How do I sort my flagged mail by due date so that it broken out by section - Due today, Due tomorrow, Due next week?
100% operator error, I know. I was busy, in a rush, and had 40 or so reminders in the Reminders windows.

In a rush, I mistakenly clicked "Dismiss All" when I wanted to dismiss a single entry.

Most of the 40 were items I could dismiss, but about a dozen were not. The ones I needed to keep were events that came due far in the past, but that I kept hitting snooze on, as a way to remember them.

How does one find these "recently dismissed" events in the List view of the Calendar? I looked for a Modified column but found no such thing.

Can I instead find them on the hard drive? On TimeMachine?

Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

I was having problems opening Outlook 2011. When I was able to open it all my data was gone. I tried different identities in the identities folder but none of them have data. I do have saved identities in Time Machine -- how can I export these to get my old mail?

I have a new top of the line MacBook Pro.  I loaded Office.  The Outlook Autofill function does not work for email.  This is one of the most important things you do on a computer - fast access to email addresses without having to type in the whole address and getting address wrong, etc.  There is no dialogue box popping up telling me it does not work, there is no instruction as to what to do so I re-loaded Office three times, that did not work, so I stripped my SSD drive clean and reloaded my Mac OS and all my docs and Office.  How the %^%%$ do I fix this.
how can i sync my contacts , calendar and notes of my max outlook 11 with my android phonecan somebody give me all details
