Hi, I have clients using Office365 exchange accounts in Outlook 2011 for Mac. They asked for a public shared calendar that all staff can see. I created a shared mailbox for the public calendar. I added the calendar to each person's Outlook2011, created a test appointment, everyone saw it. So far so good.

BUT next day the editors could no longer create appointments unless they went through the "open new calendar" process all over again, and the reviewers could no longer see new appointments being added unless they also re-opened the calendar. They could however all see the old appointments.

I've checked settings/permissions for their local install of Outlook2011, checked settings/permissions on the server, everything looks fine. Once they re-open the calendar it works perfectly. But they are not happy at having to remember to re-open it every time they logon in order to be able to use it.

Is there a way to make sure once the calendar is opened it will retain the settings without having to be re-opened the next day?

Any ideas? Help much appreciated!

I have imported the australia holidays calendar and it puts Easter Monday as Saturday 13th April 2013, when it is actually Monday (go figure) 1st of April. Microsoft April fools joke perhaps?
Interestingly it correctly places good friday on 29th March.
So looking forward it also has East Monday incorrect for future years. Listed as Sunday 13th April 2014,. Monday 13th April 2015....
So it's obviously been setup to be April 13 every year. I wonder how long this has been an issue?
I'm having difficulty connecting Outlook (Office for Mac 2011) with my Outlook.com and iPhone e-mails. Each can receive and display new mail, but if I delete or read an e-mail on one platform, it doesn't update the others. (And at least Outlook.com and my iPhone used to be synced...before I started messing with settings to get all three to connect.) Essentially I now have to open or delete each message three times and am on the verge of giving up on Outlook altogether.
Hallo,

I have Outlook 2011 for Mac on Mac OS X 10.8. Calendar and Mac Mail simply work fine with google mail and calendar.
I'm using Outlook also for our company Exchange host and I additionally want to synchronize my private google calendar into my Outlook 2011.
The sync service does not recognize the google entry.

Is there any chance to fix that?

But how can I do this?  I have moved the email folders I want to archive to a new folder "On My Computer" and named is "Archive".  However, the export option seems to want to export my entire database rather than a specific folder.  Further, I keep being prompted that my database cannot be rebuilt with an error code.  I know my inbox has a lot of files - which is why I want to archive - but not delete.

Any help - quickly?

Thanks.
Can the MS Mac team consider in their next revision of Outlook for Mac to allow a framework for add-ins?  There are some great products out there that help tie together data from multiple sources and cloud based email, calendars, CRM, sales systems like Xobni, Cue, etc.
Is there a way to transfer the autocomplete contacts from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2011 MAC?  I understand that Outlook 2010 doesn't have NK2 files anymore and I believe it uses a Streaming autocomplete .dat file.  Is there anyway to manually transfer that over?
I have Outlook 2011 on my Mac.  There are a series of Reminders that always pop up, no matter how many times I Dismiss them.  I just switched computers,  from my old Mac to a new Mac,  and I have imported the .olm file.  The reminders are once again popping up.  I Dismiss them; they just come back.  Please help!
I cannot delete any calendars in Outlook 2011 (14.3.0). It does not work with Command + Backspace or Delete (why is this not an option?). It also does not work by right-clicking a calendar - when I do that only a small and empty square of about 1/2 x 1/2 inch opens but no usable contextual menu.

How can I delete unwanted calendars?
