Hello, I'm Mick Dowdeswell and I would like to know how I can move pictures fro the gallery into a new folder in the folder lists side. By copying and pasting a photo from one folder to another, a duplicate copy appears next to the original, resulting in many unwanted photos in the gallery. If I try to drag and drop, a 'banned' sign appears i.e. a red circle with diagonal line appears. Any replies would be most welcome. Thanks.

Hi,

Under skydrive I've created up a group with which I share photos . Till this summer this worked well : everytime I added a folder , I shared it with this group and each member got an email indicating a new folder was shared.

It doesn't seem to work that way anymore . When I share a folder the group members get the access rights but they DONT receive the alert message which I write.

If I try to share the folder  with a "contacts group" (ie a simple email group created under Contacts), the recipients DO receive the alert message and can access the photos.

Is there any way of restoring the propoer functionnality for the "skydrive group" ?

Has it to do with a software update ? with the switch from W8.0 to W8.1 ?

Any help would be appreciated .

Thx in advance.

FG

When I try to name a new folder, or upload a file I get get the following:

'Unable to Create New Folder'

'SkyDrive is undergoing some routine maintenance and should be back up shortly.'

and when I try to upload a file it goes to 99% and says

"Sorry, there was a problem uploading your file, please try again.

This has been occurring for several days.  What's up?  I have over 6 gigs available to me.

The information contained on Microsoft for creating folders in outlook.com is incorrect.  Does anyone know the correct information for creating a new folder in outlook.com?  There is nowhere that I can find where you may be able to add anything new.  Right clicking on a laptop doesn't bring up any options and the gutter at the right with options listed doesn't either.  Does anyone know how to do this?
I have an external email client which I've pointed my outlook to pick up emails from. I initially set it up so that all the emails that are being sent to that email, be sent straight to a new folder which I've created specifically for it. However due to errors, I had to re set it up and, again set it so that the email was being sent to that new folder. But now, because of that, every time I get an email to that folder, it comes in twice.

I've checked the "make rules" option and currently it says there are no rules. How can I make the double emails stop. Is there a specific folder option that I can look at?
I have a new folder in SkyDrive that was created by an App on my Windows Phone, the app stores photos in the new folder. I can see the new folder from my phone and when I open my SkyDrive through Internet Explorer but the folder does not appear on my computer in Windows Explorer. How do I get it to show up in Windows Explorer?
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro RTM and every once in awhile I notice that a new folder called Documents appears on my SkyDrive.  I assume this is because Windows wants to automatically store my documents in the cloud.  I prefer to organize this myself without using a Documents folder.  Is it possible to stop the automatic creation of this folder (which seems to occur randomly)?
I can't seem to create a new folder in Outlook. Whever I choose the command to create a folder it always creates it as a sub-folder of the category my cursor was last on. I couldn't find anything in the Help function on this. Any suggestions? Many thanks. Brian
when i go to 'New Folder' the name box only opens for a second so I dont have time to name it correctly. Rename Folder does the same thing - any thoughts??
I can't find and icon next to FOLDERS to add a new folder.  It won't let me rename a folder.  How do I do it now.  Hope I finally get an answer to this.
