My contact's picture has disappeared from my window on Windows Messenger Live and we cannot retrieve it.  Both our pictures show up on my contact's window, but only mine shows up in my window.  How do we get it back?

l have windows live messenger ver. 2011.  when l am away from my computer and get a instant message, l am unable to open it.  It shows up on the bottom task bar that l have one, but when l click on it, only a blank window opens up.  Can you help me with this.  l have reinstalled the program 2 times with the same results. Got this message this morning when Windows requested to do updates -- clicked links for help, but they led nowhere -- too old? Got an error message yesterday too fleeting to quite catch, that said I had multiple errors; the day before that, Java asked permission (on startup) to install updates, then disappeared. Clearly, I kinow nothing about any of this, but am trying to start a home-based business on the internet, so I need my computer! Grateful for any help offered!

Sending replies on messenger

When I am logged onto messenger as "available", I can receive messages but my replies cannot be seen by my friends.   Also, if I start a message to them, they can't see it.    Why does this happen?

evrytime i respond to an im, it says the sender is offline

Messenger shows all of my contacts are offline when I know they aren't. They can send me ims, but when I reply, I receive a message saying they're offline & my message can't be delivered. I don't know why it keeps happening. Especially, given the fact that they're online. I haven't used Messenger in YEARS so I don't know my way around it anymore. I don't know if it's something to with my end or if it's something on theirs.

Hotmail for Android not showing pictures

I've recently installed Cyanogenmod 10 (jelly bean) on a Galaxy SII and noticed that the Hotmail app stopped showing pictures embedded in emails, and the option to show them is nowhere to be found. Is there any incompatibility with JB?

why don’t I have the option to save my conversation history on my laptop but can on my PC?

I can save live messenger history on my PC but for some reason it's not giving me the option on my Live messenger on the laptop.Do I maybe need to update? Could it be because I am currently using the 'guest' account on the laptop? Any ideas and solutions appreciated
