The conversation view does not include mails that I have sent via reply. Why would I want to view just one side of a conversation? Either something is not setup right or this feature is not working properly. If I drag my sent messages to my inbox, they show up. Any thoughts?

I found the word 'conversation' near the top of one of my emails and I thought it would be nice to put all emails on this topic together.  However now I want to change it back.  "tools" and "file" do not seem to have the correct information.  Please help.

Several emails in my Outlook.com account appear as separate conversations even though they are actually replies to earlier emails. Everything appears as though Outlook.com should detect that they are the one conversation (i.e. same subject, contain original email, etc.). Most of the emails this applies to are ones that I imported from Gmail, but some are emails that I sent/received in Outlook.com.

Possible solutions to this would be:

  • if I could manually mark the emails and select a "merge to conversation" option or similar;
  • if there was an option to force Outlook.com to recheck all emails to see if they are a conversation;
  • if someone could provide details of how Outlook.com determines if emails are part of the same conversation and I might be able to manually edit the emails to make Outlook.com recognise that they are the same conversation.

Thanks in advance for any help that people might be able to provide.

I have to reset my Conversation Settings over and over again to Group messages by conversation.   It just doesn't stick for more than a week or 2.   It reverts back to Show messages individually.  I've this problem before, but it is much worse since going to Outlook.    I have 2 Hotmail accounts.  I run one in Chrome and one in Firefox so I don't have to sign in and out all the time to check my mail.   The problem seems to be worse in Firefox.    It is very frustrating especially when having an ongoing email conversation with a person and the message you want to look at again is found several  pages down in Hotmail as the group setting as reverted back to individual with me doing anything.

Any suggestions.   It seems like this is a common problem.   Found lots of posts out here on this issue.   Since it is an important one, Hotmail didn't do a very good job testing that the features we want were also available without problems when going to Outlook.

Thank you,
LainieMarie

When I reply to a conversation thread and get returned to the message list, about 75% of the time the conversation I just replied to is deselected.  (But the contents are still shown in the reading pane.)  I must first click another message, then click the original again to Archive, Delete, move, etc.  Is this a known issue?  It's been happening for me for a few months now.

1. Let's say i have a grouped conversation with 'Conatct A' & then i want to reply/forward a part of that converstaion thread to only 'Contact B'. How ?

2. 'Contact B' replies to the conversation thread & Now i wan't to reply/forward a part of that conversation thread to only 'Contact A' How ?

* Do i have to ungroup conversations every time to achieve this ? *

I use conversation view all the time and am very used to the Windows version of Outlook.  With Windows I was able to see messages from all folders including Sent Items.  In the Mac version, you can only see messages from the Inbox and its subfolders.  I know you can click on the funny arrow/bubble icon in the preview pane, but that does not solve the problem.  In that view you can only see individual messages by opening yet another windows.

So the question is: is it possible to force messages from all folders including Sent Items to show up in conversation view?

when I open my window messenger conversation I will show the message video, video e-mail only elettronica.come do I send a request for a video call to my contact? thanks
