Hi all, I have been having a problem setting up a friends business email account in windows live mail. He has two machines; W7 HP 64 bit and a new W8 desktop. The email account has been added to both machines but I keep getting an error telling me that the password is wrong even thought it is correct. Even more baffling is the fact that he can send/receive emails to and from his phone without issue for the same email account. I have duplicated the settings on both the phone and pcs with regards to port numbers etc but cannot get round it in any way. His broadband provider is Tiscali an they have been having server issues as he is unable to access his tiscali emails. The email account in question is not his tiscali account though. Could the Tiscali issue be at the root of this? Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

John

I have Windows 7 and I am fed up with Windows Mail which keeps on sticking.  Can anyone help please???

Hi,

My company has recently purchased Office365 exchange services. We have configured IMAP settings to our Windows Live Mail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3508.0205). Everything was working fine until a few days ago, where 2 of the accounts suddenly couldn't send out emails any more but able to receive emails.

As below are the error message (I have removed email address due to privacy issue):

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.

Subject 'Re: PIs'
Server Error: 421
Server Response: 421 4.3.2 Service not available
Server: 'smtp.office365.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): Yes

I have done some research online, and I'm very sure that I have done the settings correctly. The "My server requires authentication" box is checked as well. As mentioned above, everything is working fine until few days ago where it suddenly fails to receive emails. I've checked with Office365 team on the user account status, it is working on Webapp Outlook and Exchange mode in Microsoft Outlook so there's nothing wrong with the exchange server.

I'm running out of ideas and hopefully anyone here can lend a helping hand.

Many thanks.

Is there a way to format message in Windows Live Mail; i.e., for example setting tabs, margins, page breaks, etc.

[Moved from feedback]

I had my email *** Email address is removed for privacy *** connected with LinkedIn.  I now have over 2000 contacts, and it has made Windows Live Mail (the desktop application) unusably slow.

I asked Microsoft to disconnect LinkedIn, which they did, but I still cannot find a way to delete all of the contacts.

How can get ALL contacts removed from my @live.com email account?

Thanks

Robert

Everytime we have a power outage, I have a problem with my email upon rebooting the computer.  Instead of the images and graphics sent in the email, I get the dreaded box with the red x.  How do I fix this?
