In outlook for my PC i can open and view a (.pst) file but on Outlook for Mac 2011, I cannot just open a .pst file without actually importing it?
I currently have Windows7/Outlook 2011 in with multiple PST files (2-3 GB each, 5-6 files) and plan to import them on Outlook:Mac
Questions:
(a) For Outlook:Mac, would all these PSTs need to be imported into a single import DB ?
(b) If yes, how do I avoid mailbox size limitations on Outlook:Mac (given that Outlook:Mac does not store mails in PSTs?)
Best,
I was on Outlook 2007 Windows and had no problem migrating my .pst to the Mac, but apparently all my safe sender and safe domain designations were lost. Is there a way to preserve those? Also, on Outlook 2007 the addition of a domain or sender to
a safe list was a one click operation. Am I missing something, or is the only way to add a safe domain actually typing the domain onto the list manually? And the only way to add a safe sender is to create a new contact, even if it is for a newsletter?
I have a user that is moving from a Mac back to a Windows-based PC.
They have a large amount of (valuable) email that was imported into Outlook.
My understanding is that the import changes the data to another format, so they aren't really .pst files anymore.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Hello.
I am trying to import mail from Outlook 2007 (windows) to Outlook 2011 (mac). On the windows machine I go 'export-file-pst' and get a .pst file. Then, I go to the mac, go 'import-pst-done' and the folder appears on 'on my computer'. The folder is there,
but none of the messages... What is wrong?
Thank you for your help.
My XP computer crashed. I rescued the .pst contacts file from Outlook Express. New system Win 7 w Win Live Mail.
Need to import/transfer .pst contacts into WLM.
Have not seen a solution that is easy to follow. Suggestions please.
