I'm sure I speak for millions of others when I request that the spam filtering in Hotmail be able to be disabled.  Its doesn't work.  It constantly grabs legit email and sends it to Junk.  And what is incredibly short sighted is that I can't retrieve Junk folder messages by POP.  If I could it wouldn't be such a problem.  But for most of us that have used POP, we realize its superiority to webmail and dread having to use our browser to retrieve email as its so slow and cumbersome.

So either allow Junk to be retrieved by POP or allow us to disable this useless feature.

And there should be buttons that say BLOCK SENDER and BLOCK SUBJECT and BLOCK SUBJECT WORD (like Viagra, enhancement, ciallis, etc) so filtering stuff doesn't take 20 clicks with a mouse.  Its not as if you don't have room on the page.  Or right click a message and pick from a bunch of filtering options.  The point is make spam quick to filter.

All the time when I want to send an e-mail, appears the following message:" There was a problem with the Hotmail service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Hotmail. "
I went already 8 times to service status.....but nothing works
After my Time Machine restore, I had to re-enter my license number - all well and good - but I keep getting those Office Reminders going off like fireworks. I remembered that the problem could be solved by rebuilding my Main Identity. So I held down the option key while starting Outlook.

Now I'm locked in a vicious cycle of trying to rebuild the database. I get a message that all MS apps need to be closed (which I've already done - including quitting the MS daemon) and when I click OK, I get another screen telling me that some applications could not be closed. I click again and get back to the all apps must be closed dialog box again. And if I just quit the process and open Outlook again, the reminders just keep cycling (although I kill that process, too).

What to do?

Thanks,

Clinton
I have been using  W7 for 8months or so without problem. My log in has for many years been @hotmail.co.uk.Last 2 weeks I have not been able to access  Instant Messaging  site as I am constantly told that I need to connect to internet when I am already connected through Google Chrome.I note also that my IM and windows  access log on has changed to hotmail.com. I have overcome the problem on access to windows live log in but not IM service    Help please .
I have an Asus Eeepad TF101 tablet and am having trouble setting up Hotmail in the email program as it keeps telling me that it Cannot Connect to Server, edit details

Please could someone help me resolve this problem as I am sure my details are correct.

When I send out an e mail on my normal e address, the person who REPLIES, does so on my alt address which appears when he presses the REPLY option.

This defeats the purpose of having a seperate alt address.  How can I correct this situation?

OK, I'll go over it again.

First I have hotmail plus.

Problem is as follows: when you go to move a email into a file, you go up to the move it button  and high light the file that you want to put the email in.

The email is then moved into that file,

but here is where is problem starts---the drop down meau stays there, with the file name still high  lighted in blue.

I have to go back up to the move it button and click on that to get rid of the down drop file meau.

Then I HAVE TO CLICK ON THE ARROW TO GET THE NEXT EMAIL TO COME UP.

I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED.

In trying to open Outlook (Microsoft Office for Mac 2011) I get the message: "There is a problem with the Office database.  To use the database, you must first rebuild it using the Database Utility."  After selecting rebuild and letting it go through the steps I get the message "Your database could not be rebuilt."   I am updated to 14.2.2 (120421).  I have not been able to fix this problem with any of the online suggestions I have found thus far.  Anyone have a recommended fix to open Outlook and ensure no data is lost?
