we have several windows live email addresses that i thought were hotmail, but i don't have the sweep feature. how do i get it?

The entire hotmail page has changed. The inbox is blank with only the menu on the left side of the page. Scrolling down, emails are listed at the bottom of the page but I cannot access them. Menu items (trash, folders, sent etc.) cannot be accessed. Is
there a fix?

I have been using Live email for about 2 months now and only use Messenger so I am alerted to new email. This morning I logged into Windows Messenger from the taskbar, it logged me in, alerted me to my emails but when I clicked on it it vanished from the screen and from the taskbar. I went into Start menu and clicked on Messenger, logged on, it alerted me to my emails, then vanished etc etc. So I went into my email page via www.live.co.uk and it tells me I am logged onto Meseenger and listed some friends that were also logged on, but I cant get the Messenger screen/list up? I havent changed any settings - and have stried to click onto the menu to look at my settings but Messenger justs vanished!
Any help would be good - I'm not great with computers though :-(

A long time ago when I signed into hotmail it offered to open me a separate linked account. I did this and now I'm receiving 100 pieces of junk mail an hour delivered to that address but going directly into my main hotmail account. I tried to unlink the
account through the options menu but this account simply isn't there. However when I click on the drop down menu of my name when I'm composing an email, there the account is. I really need to remove this second linked account but I don't know how. Any help?!

When I select the Empty Folder option on the Deleted Items drop down menu, I get this message:
"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."
I then have to quit out of Outlook. I suspect that it has something to do with an email that I deleted named "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" which I suspected as malware or a virus (the file was never opened), because I have narrowed it down to this file. If I click on
it or even select a range of files to delete including this one, the quit window appears and out I go.
I've run a full virus scan before going this.
Is this a problem or should I just ignore it?

When I click new to begin composing a new message, then start typing the letters of the contact whom I want to send a message to,
an old contact name appears in the drop down menu. I deleted this contact months ago, but it keeps popping up. When I search for this contact in my contacts file, it is not there, so I am unable to delete it. How can I remove it?

Hotmail freezes & I get message to say Internet Explorer has stopped working & it has to close & reopen. It's only started recently. When I got the 'international' call from India, it was difficult to understand her accent & when she started to tell
me to enter prefetch into the start menu, I couldn't verify who she was, so I hung up. I think now that she was ok, but you have to be so careful these days with lots of scams around, b ut any idea how I can fix this problem, or do I have to pay for a programme

I have used the "sweep" drop down menu to set rules to specify words in spammers' e-mail addresses which are supposed to cause the spam to be deleted.
The rule doesn't work - the spam shows in the inbox or in the junk mail folder. Why isn't it deleted like the rule says it's supposed to be?

In the past I could create a group of contact, give it a name and save it.
Today, after I click on 'contact' on the left pane, I get a page with a new look. Near the top, there is a drop down menu called 'Manage' that leads you to the groups you already have, and a "+" sign to add a new group.
That, you can do. The problem is that there is no way to add names/emails to the new group.
