There is a small window that has  appeared in the corner of my screen saying "software download complete" with two choices: "install now" or "Install later". I can't close it, and I don't remember downloading anything. I tried restoring the computer to a prior restore point, but it is still there. Is it a virus?

I am using windows 7 and Microsoft security essentials. Nothing has shown up currently in any virus scan, but it did catch a trojan virus awhile ago. It said it stopped it.

when i try to open an email from a friend who utilise incredimail , i can read his email , but when i get to the end of his message , where it has a emoticon advertisement .

the COMPUTER restart...

no error record in windows journal or syteme journal

did a virus scan with four antivirus program,

i am pulling my hair off.... what is my problem thans to help...

( the computer restart also occured sometime on site with animated banner )

windows 7 pro, 2gb ram, 80gb hard disk, mse antivirus.

When I select the Empty Folder option on the Deleted Items drop down menu, I get this message:

"Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost."

I then have to quit out of Outlook. I suspect that it has something to do with an email that I deleted named "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" which I suspected as malware or a virus (the file was never opened), because I have narrowed it down to this file. If I click on it or even select a range of files to delete including this one, the quit window appears and out I go.

I've run a full virus scan before going this.

Is this a problem or should I just ignore it?
