I have Mountain Lion, Office 2011 - and the issue is specifically with Outlook client.  When I am in mail and highlight a calendar item, the system just spins for a significant amount of time.  When I double click on a calendar item, the system spins for a significant amount of time, when I click on the Calendar ICON - same thing.

I have rebuilt the DB, no improvement.  I am connected to our corporate exchange environment - mail works fine - it's just everything to do with the calendar that is so slow.

Any ideas - my productivity is suffering.

Is this possible? I want to use Mac mail, but the Mac reminder system with no snooze times is hopeless. If I make Mac Mail my default email app, Office Reminders don't turn on! Is it possible to use Office Reminders without Outlook as default?
How can I send a e-mail to contacts group?
How can I change the name of the group?

I got to say that the old version was better and much easy to use.
Since a May upgrade, I am unable to receive any mail at my @mac.com accoun†.   Outlook set up seems to correctly point to this account but shows a yellow light in the selection panel.  It is the only account that is available in this panel.  The message in title above shows down in lower righ† corner when click on yellow alert sign.  beside the words Not connected to account.  Continue to receive this error code.
Yeah, so I come to the forum and instantly my guess is answered, the kids at Microsoft have screwed all of us again with this **** version of email, hot mail livemail msn mail, whatever, its all junk, nothing works right, My contact list is ruined, the check spelling button is missing in outbound emails, all I can say, HOW happy I am I paid the money and just bought a Mac. This old desktop is going in the trash, if Bill Gates were here I'd throw him in the trash too with his JUNK developers of this not ready for prime time software, if THAT'S what YOU want to call it, not ready for prime time for sure. I mean talk about problems? Look at the HUGE list in here, and I sure don't recall EVER receiving any email from those PUNKS informing us that were making changes, for the sake of change, only idiots and morons do **** like that people. Lets show Microsoft how we really feel, save up if needed, but stop buying PC'S, they SUCK, Lets push Microsoft over the cliff, its worn out its Welcome far as I can tell. SPIT!
I work for a school that uses an Exchange server for mail and calendars. I'm using Outlook 2011 and for some reason the calendar my principal shared with me doesn't show up in Outlook. It shows up in the web access version, but not when I use the actual application on my mac. When I try to open a calendar from him, it says I don't have permissions, but clearly I do because it's showing up in Outlook Web Access. Any suggestions?
from my profile i can't go to my inbox unless i go to the hotmail site
