"Could not change to that identity"

I've gotten the same Outlook error with a brand new (as of today) Mac and a brand new install of Office 11 for Mac.

None of the solutions has helped. I've rebuilt the database, deleted all identities, updated Office, tried Outlook with a new user account (for the Mac) and moved the Office Identities folder to the desktop.

I still get the same error with Outlook. All of the other applications launch OK.

Apparently, then, the issue is not with my User folder, but with the MS Office files themselves.

I can't think of anything else to do except uninstall Office and start over, or find an email client that might actually launch and work.

This is beyond extremely frustrating.

Is this legit?

Public Contact Folder Opening Automatically

In Outlook 2011 I have my Exchange contacts folder and a public contacts folder. When I switch to Contacts view, the public folder is checked and displays entries. If I uncheck it, go to another view, and then return to the Contacts view, the folder is checked and opens again. The same thing happens with my Exchange and public Calendar. I would like the public folders to not open automatically, but only when I need them/check them. How do I accomplish this?

Missen sent items folder shared mailbox

Hi there, I use Outlook 2011 on a 10.6.8 mac. I connect to my exchange mailbox just fine. When I add a secondary exchange mailbox (of which I'm the owner) I see allt he hanmade folders, but not the sent items, not the trash folder. Also when I send on behalve of that mailbox i cannot find the sent item anywhere, Not in my sent items.

When i log in that shared mailbox through OWA the sent item folder is visible, but contains no items.

The sent mail is being sent though.

Can anyone help me with this?

Is there any option to clean junk mails within Junk folder after receiving 10 or 20 days?

On the other words, junk mail only keep on junk folder 10 days only, after that, it will be deleted automatically.

Does anyone have any suggestions on any option to do that?

I am the administrator and my "new folder" button is grayed out.. I tried creating an alternate user account and was able to open outlook and then under the new user name it was not grayed out THoughts?

Public Folders on Outlook 2011 hang

Hello

I have some Mac clients connected to Exchange 2010 using office 2011. One of the public folders contains over 15,000 contacts. When the user clicks on that folder, Outlook hangs for at least 5-10 minutes.

The connection between the client and the Exchange server is over a VPN tunnel, and not a very fast one ( 600 Kbps ). I am told that Outlook 2011 for Mac doesn't have cache mode like its Windows version.

Connecting to the PF via Safari is fine.

Any ideas anyone?

Recipients Address missing in Sent Folder after Win 7 Live Mail Restore ?

Hi There,

I was advised incorrectly by my Web Hosting Company to create a new profile using Windows 7 Home Premium-Live Mail, which we did without realising nor told of the consequences.

Luckily we researched and found you were able to restore all the Inbox and Sent Folders through this option, however all the Recipient's Email Addresses are missing in the Sent Folder and have been replaced by our own Email Address ?

Can someone please!! offer a solution that will work as it is a Business Email Account with over 3 Years of Email History.
