Why don’t help button "?" options work in windows live mail?

I just installed Windows live mail and messenger software for WinXP on 07-28-2012. When I try to click the help button "?" options, I get no help at all.

IfI click help option "Get help with Mail" or press F1 button, I see that IE attempts to go to (help.live.com) and then is quickly redirected to (mail.live.com) which asks me to sign into my hotmail account or it lands at my hotmail account page if I'm already signed in. Where's the Help???

If I click the help option "Search the Mail discussion group" I get sent to: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop which gets redirected to: http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/aspx/err.aspx?sloc=en-us&stgxml= which says the service is temporarily unavailable.

If I click on the help option "Read the Mail blog" I get sent to: http://public-api.wordpress.com/wls/redirect.php?alias=morethanmail which says that this windows live space is no longer available.

How or why are all the links for these help options broken or misdirected?

Is there a fix for this problem?

I only found this help forum from searching on Bing for "windows live mail help".

Facebook on Windows Live Mail

I have to restart Windows Live Mail everytime I click on Facemail.

When I click on Facebook in Windows Live Mail my browser turns white and everything freezes. I am also unable to delete Facebook or move Facebook. My other e-mails are ok. How do I delete these E-mails?

There is no problem with my other browser whic is Earthlink Web Mail

Outlook 2011 – What is <format>, <background image> suposed to do?

Just curious what this is supposed to do. I click <format> then <background image> a folder opens, I select a jpg image, but nothing happens. Is this a phantom feature that was never used or does the image need to be a specific size, type, etc?

Cannot add a POP or IMAP email account

I just installed Office for Mac 2011 on a new MacBook Pro Retina (2.3GHz, version 10.7.4). When I go to Add an Account, I am unable to add a POP or IMAP email account. When I click on the icon next to the E-mail Account, nothing happens, and I have to force quit Outlook as the window as the Account window becomes stuck. The button for the Exchange Account works as does Directory Service. I've tried uninstalling Office for Mac and re-installing it from the original DVD (both with and without the updates) but I keep getting the same result.

Also, when I do click on the E-mail Account button, all of the other buttons go dead (except for the minimize button) which is why I have to force quit.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've used this same DVD on another computer with no issues but for some reason, can't figure this out.

folder naming problems

I can create a new folder for emails but when i double click to name the folder, it only stays in edit mode for 1-3 seconds - not enough time to fully type the folder name. Anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix this? it's anoying not being able to edit folder names.

Items will not delete from Inbox

I have researched the answers to questions related to items NOT deleting from the Inbox. My issue seems to be different. When I click on one of several messages

in my Inbox, and select delete, nothing happens to the message. After some time perhaps 30 seconds or so, the spinning pinwheel appears. Once the pinwheel appears the Outlook is frozen, and the only way to recove the program is to "force Quit" Outlook. When I do that, and Outlook starts, the messages I want to delete are still in the Inbox!

Anyone have an answer or a solution?

Items deleted from Outlook (Mac 2011) go to Recycle. How do I empty only Outlook items from recycle?

When I delete items from Outlook from Office for Mac 2011, from folders such as email-inbox, they go to the Deleted folder. When I delete these from the deleted folder, they go to the trash. When I delete other items from folders like contacts, calendar entries, tasks etc. they go to the trash, not the deleted folder? Is this correct?.\

When I click on the TRASH icon and select "All my files", it appears to contain only items such as those above. They show in trash to be "messages", "events", "contacts" etc. Does "All My Files" reference only those in trash, or does it means all the files on the hard drive. Are these only all the files in trash?

If these are only the files in trash, then I assume I select every entry from top to bottom, (there are more than 10,000 itmes) and delete all?

Why do email address show up with I click on To to send an email that aren’t in my Contacts List?

When I want to send an email out and click on To:, email address come up that I don't have in my Contacts List and I have no idea who they are.

Since they're not in my Contact List, I can't delete them. Any ideas?

Outlook won’t open in MAC 10.7.4

Suddenly when I click on Outlook in the Dock (or in Safari) the startup window flashes then disappears.

Worked fine previously.

All the other Office for MAC apps work fine.

I tried to re-install latest Office update and get the message "Office 2011 14.2.3 Update can't be installed on this disk (or any other on my machine!). A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this (or any other!) volume."

Appreciate any suggestions.

Problem with the way Windoews Live Mail displays attachments (icons)

Windows Live Mail - when I initially got my laptop and signed into Live mail, my incoming mail would show an icon (attachment for Word, Excel, Photo etc.,) on the note itself. I could access the attachment by clicking on the icon. However, when I get attachments on Live Mail now I have to double click on the 'paper clip' to have the icon become visible and then click on the icon to open the attachment. How do I return to the original format?

Perhaps this is a 'glitch' with my laptop (HP Pavilion G Series) rather than Live Mail. Does anyone have any suggestions?
