Windows Live Mail - when I initially got my laptop and signed into Live mail, my incoming mail would show an icon (attachment for Word, Excel, Photo etc.,) on the note itself.  I could access the attachment by clicking on the icon.  However, when I get attachments on Live Mail now I have to double click on the 'paper clip' to have the icon become visible and then click on the icon to open the attachment.  How do I return to the original format?

Perhaps this is a 'glitch' with my laptop (HP Pavilion G Series) rather than Live Mail.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

Our Director uses Mac Outlook 2011. When I send him an attachment by composing the message in HTML format he receives the attachment as a win.dat file.

I tried sending the attachment by composing the message in Plain text but still the same result.

He gets attachments from other users normally.

I have Outlook 2010 on my PC.

I know Mac Outlook cannot process messages sent in Rich Text format, but I only compose my messages in HTML format.

Looking forward for a response.

Thanks
Kula.

Why has my email forwarding been changed to 10 attachments only?

This is happening with mail coming in from my earthlink mail account with winmail.dat attachments. .  The paperclip attachment indicator is visible at the folder level, but cannot be found in the email when it is opened.   I experienced a similar problem with Outlook Express.

Old version: jpeg attachments were displayed in the text.

Build 15 version: jpeg attachments are part of the header. Since the header is not scrolling along with the text (another problem in my mind), there is less text displayed as the pictures in the non-scrolling header take up much of the real estate.

Anyway to

a) get the attachments back in the body and not in the header?

b) get the header scrolling like it used to when the etxt was scrolled?

Thanks

I cannot send pictures in Windows Live as attachments in emails.  Image will show on the face of the email but attachment is blocked.  A message pops up which says

This references a picture I tried to send last year.  I don't know how to get this removed.

Thanks.

My problem is I use the Livemail to send attachments in an email, they go to skydrive. Please tell me how to send attachments from my printer using livemail as my email program and the attachment not to use skydrive, I just want simple jpg files please.
I'm not sure if this is caused by SP2 or not, but I'm concerned over disk usage by Outlook 2011.

My message attachments folder has swelled to 100gb!

I run exchange with a mailbox of 10gb.

I do keep archive PST's on my macbook but the total size of those is 100gb. Those are archived in a master PC (windows) and I copy them to my macbook for ease of access.

Can anyone explain why this is? I regularly archive my mail every 45 days, but this folder seems to have attachments from well before that.

Version is 14.2.2.
