Since last night I have not been able to open my Outlook.com email on my Android.

Here are my details:

Android v. 2.3.5

Build number GINGERBREAD.VKJ1

I get the message "The application Outlook.com (process com.outlook.Z7:client) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

My friend has also had the same problem in the last 24 hrs but is currently able to get on.  She has a different version Android.

Hello everybody

I have some issues with the Outlook.com app for Android. The initial configuration works well (2-step verification) and in the "Apps and Services" list of my Microsoft account I find that the Outlook.com app had "today" access to my account. However, the app afterwards does not show me neither any of my emails nor my personal folders. When I try to send emails they are not sent but stay for eternity in the outbox.

I'm using in the meantime the predecessor Hotmail.com app which works perfectly without any problems (but has unfortunately no search feature for emails) and also the K-9 mail app for Android shows no issues.

Questions:
  • I deleted and re-installed the app several times within the past weeks, but it always failed. Any ideas how to solve the problem?
  • I understand that the Outlook.com app has a built in debug/loggin feature. Is there an address I can send this reports to?

Thanks a lot for your support!
Cheers, Mike

Outlook.com app for Android (v 7.8.2.11.48.4848 via Google Play)
Emails were syncing fine after the initial setup but I think because of the Reset option in the Outlook.com Android app, currently it's not syncing any emails. This occurs on both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7(2013), running Android 4.3.

  • Able to send and receive emails fine through the stock Android email app.
  • Refresh button does nothing and sync set to push.
  • Tried reinstalling Outlook.com app, as well as restarting device numerous times.
  • Tried with two-step verification off for my email but problem persists.
I will have to start at the beginning.  I downloaded Skydrive back in March/April and uploaded thousands of pictures from the last 3-4 years and organised them into folders called 2013, 2012 etc etc.  No problems at all.   I have the app on my android phone, a Nexus tablet, my wife's android phone and last week added it to a brand new Samsung galaxy Note tablet.  My android has tried to link to my skydrive account but no photos from my phone have ever appeared in my skydrive,  This is not a problem to me at all.
As I had not had to log in for a while, as the apps keep me logged in, when I logged in on the Samsung i got it wrong and it prompted me to decide where to receive an email with a reminder - i tried this many many times as no mail arrived - hours later one mail did arrive and managed to change my password.  However, I was then informed I could not access the Sjydrive as there had been a possible violation of TOU.  I mailed the support team and posted on the forum here.  Meanwhile, my wife could still get the pictures on her android phone (perhaps because it was logged in on my old password??and she mailed me links to the folders - I could still access the folders from the links even though I could not through my normal log in - the message still appeared saying the account was closed down.  Today, a moderator has informed me that my account appears to be normal, there has been no violation of the TOU etc.  I have logged in and yes, my Skydrive is open as normal.  However, the only files that are there are the pictures from my phone that were never on there!  The thousands of photos that I uploaded are no longer there!!!  But, my wife can still see them on her phone and I can still see them when I click on the links - the problem is  want to be able to get them the normal way - in my Skydrive account when I log in - can you help?

I have seen a few people with this issue
I have both a Iphone and a Android phone

The tried to access my same email account using Outlook.com app in Android.  It doesn't recognise my email account. It will accept my hotmail account
I downloaded the new microsoft 365 mobile app today but that has no email access
I am based in Singapore

hello

I use the outlook.com android app at push state - on my galaxy s3 mini.

I don’t receive any notification for new incoming mails - only when I use the refresh key in the app - I see the new mail.

Please advise.

Michael

I can sync contacts from outlook.com using its android app to my phone but cannot sync any contact them from phone to outlook.com.

It is indeed a serious problem for my remote data management, so that if I create a new ctc on the phone while on the road it would not sync at all.

My Galaxy Note 2 runs its contacts on std android app. Sync my e-mail only by K9 and E-mail client used at my office is Outlook 2010, 32 bits.

I have no more 365 or Exchange either.

Calendar works fine syncing events both ways.

so I would appreciate you to address it asap, as my working routine is mostly away from desk.

Tks in advance !

I only noticed today, but with the on going recent issues with Outlook services I'm not sure if its been happening since the start.

On my Samsung Galaxy S3 Outlook.com Android App I am not able to sync all my e-mails, some messages appear but the majority do not. I do NOT have the same issue with the web version or Windows 8 App.

Here are some screenshots

Outlook.com Web Version Screenshot *

You'll notice that in the Web Version I have 3 messages in my Inbox but the Android App is only showing 2 messages. The issue is not limited to my inbox only --- its affecting all my folders.

*I had edited the screenshot to remove any personal information
