I'm using Android's (4.3) default Email app to sync my Outlook.com email, contacts, and calendar to my phone (Nexus 4).  When I create a new calendar event from the phone (using Android's stock Calendar app), email invites for the meeting do not get sent out.  The meeting DOES appear on my calendars (on the phone and on Outlook.com), but no invites are ever received by any of the attendees.

If I go directly to Outlook.com and edit or delete the meeting, all invitees correctly receive meeting changed/cancelled emails, so the event clearly includes the proper email addresses.

I have struggled with this for days now (new phone), and I simply can not make it work.  I've created numerous test meetings and used several different email addresses for various attendees (including myself), but the problem persists - meetings created directly on my phone never generate the invitation emails.  Any help would be appreciated...

outlook.com app for android is not working on roaming.

I like the app overall, but can't use it while i am on roaming. it simply wouldn't sync. I have to use another app, and that gives my battery another app to work on while i am not roaming..and i get 2 notifications.

I get loads of emails, so could you please advice on how this could be fixed? or if it can't be fixed at all?

Thanks
G'day,

I've spent about an hour searching the forums and found bits and pieces of information but much of it is quite dated.

I have a Macbook Air running Mountain Lion OS, my company has an exchange server, and I use and Android phone (Android 4.1.2).  I am an experienced Office user, but it has always been in a PC environment.

I am running Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.3.6

I would like to be able to utilize Outlook for all emails, contacts, tasks, and appointments and synchronize all of the data between my Mac and my Android device.

Is there any way that I can do this via icloud, exchange, or google? Are there any third party solutions that will handle all of this? I am currently running a very piecemeal method requiring separate solutions for Calendar (BusyCal), Tasks (Wunderlist), Contacts (Apple Contact), and Email (Outlook).

Help would be much appreciated.

I just switched from Android to windows 8. I had a lot of highly customized contacts with gmail, i.e, phone numbers associated with 'call at night', call his brother', etc. under a contact name. Now all that is gone on my windows phone. It re-assigned all those numbers to the usual home, office, fax, etc.

Is there a way to customize my windows contact to that extent? Or do I need to scrub all the contacts again.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
Just received my OTA upgrade of Android 4.3 on my Nexus  4, great.... but:
My Outlook/hotmail email account doesn't sync' anymore on my phone :( I am using the default email app from Android, not the Outlook app (sorry).
I get stuck on the "Wating for synchronization" message (may not be the exact English translation as I actually have my phone settings in French)

I tried with my girlfriend's account and same story. I tried with a Yahoo email account, and this worked just fine, so it seems to be an Android/Outlook issue.
Any reason for that?

Thanks in advance!

(When answering this question, PLEASE don't recommend I use Microsoft's Outlook.com app for Android. The latest version of that app changed the font size to something ten times smaller than tiny and the app is useless to me because of this.)

I currently use an iPhone, but am about to switch to a Samsung Galaxy S4. Will I be able to use my Outlook.com (custom domain) email, contacts and calendar on Android's default email client, contacts, and calendar apps? Thanks for any help.
(mobile and android version of outlook) the second problem is that the select all button is not designed to fit the need for speedy email sorting and configuration. It brings a serious problem to sort emails for the languid email checkers with thousands of emails piled up.

The problem still persists to trouble me everyday.

It is very troublesome log in to outlook everytime manually, does it really hurt to add an little box to saved login info for all outlook versions?

In my opinion, there are lots of features ought to be added to optimise the program.

I am all ears for your reply.

thank you for helping.

I recently downloaded and successfully installed OneNote Mobile for Android.  I was also able to access OneNote files from my SkyDrive.  However, I was unable to "logout" of the notebooks and wondering if this is just not possible.

Thanks in advance for any support or tips.

Hey,

I installed the official Outlook.com application on my Sony Xperia U, running android 4.0.4.
It worked perfectly over WiFi but can't sync over 3G.

After searching the forum for answers, I found a workaround on http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/mail-sync/outlookcom-app-on-android-phone-will-only-work/978dd5e2-d24c-4f3b-9bdb-547f021679db but I can't apply it on my device since my APN settings are locked.

How can I fix this?
