In the Windows version, there is a very handy option when viewing a meeting appointment in Outlook.  With one click of a Ribbon button, you could send all the meeting header information to OneNote on a new page in a OneNote section you specify.    I can't find this feature in the Mac version of Outlook.   Any help?

Hi,

I've been taking all my notes for law school using Onenote, and tonight, I was no longer to open my notebook.  I have a notebook called "WFU Law 1L," and when I try to open it in the Onenote web app, I get an error that says "Sorry, this notebook can't be opened for editing."

I've tried this on different computers and with different browswers, but always get the same error.  I use a Mac and don't have the desktop version of OneNote, so I can't open a local copy.

I also downloaded OneNote for iPad today, and I am able to see all of my sections in the notebook accept one, which is the Civil Procedures section.  However, since I cannot open the notebook in Skydrive, this will be a big problem if I can't get it resolved.  This notebook contains all my law school notes for the semester, and without being able to access them or edit them, I'm going to be unable to study for my exams.

What can I do to get this notebook recovered???  HELP!!

Hi Genius People,

I am using SkyDrive Android Application.

Error Message : "The file couldn't be opened: Sorry, There are no apps installed that can open this type of file."

Steps :
1. I created a OneNote on outlook.com (Via Browser on My PC)

2. I installed OneNote App in Android Mobile

3. I installed SkyDrive Android App

4. Tried to open Onenote I created in step 1

5. I am getting Error Message "The file couldn't be opened: Sorry, There are no apps installed that can open this type of file."

What To Do ?

OneNote 2010 just started syncing to the wrong skydrive account.  My previous notebooks would no longer sync so I closed and tried to re-open.  It turns out it could not because it was now linked to a different account (a new one recently setup for a different business).  It now, will only link to notebooks under that account.

I've tried unlinking sydrive from the system tray, and relinking.  SkyDrive itself shows the correct account, but OneNote still does not.

I've tried opening the Notebooks from IE into OneNote, nope.

I've clicked (Not XXXX?) on the Open Notebook page and it does nothing but refresh with the same, wrong, account.

How do I detach OneNote from the wrong account?

My Laptop crashed recently, and I wanted to access my Office files. Word documents, Excel Sheets and Powerpoint slides all worked well when uploaded to SkyDrive.
My only problem is that SkyDrive does not read the OneNote files after uploading. Am I missing something else here?

Please advise
I have been recently using the Android version of OneNote, earlier today I was having syncing issues, and now it turns out I cannot find my Lecture Notes anywhere on the SkyDrive or phone is there any way OneNote has a local save on my phone? or anyway to retrieve my notes from SkyDrive?

Please and Thanks in advance

I need to access the same OneNote notebook from three devices: my Android phone, my Surface Pro, and my Win 7 laptop.  Is this possible?

I assumed I could do this by simply putting the OneNote notebook on SkyDrive, and then accessing it using SkyDrive from each of the three devices.  It would appear to be more complicated, though, because I find that while all of the devices can access SkyDrive, sometimes they can't even see the OneNote notebook I've put there.

Do I need to use particular versions of OneNote to do this?  I have OneNote Mobile on my Android phone, Office 365 (which includes OneNote) on my Surface Pro, and OneNote 2010 on the laptop.  Can I synchronize the one notebook across all these platforms using these different OneNote versions?

Is there anything else I need to do?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

"Sorry, something went wrong, Please try again or refresh the page". I've used Onenote and Skydrive to back up my notebooks for over a year, and as of yesterday I started getting the error message on my skydrive when i try to do anything. My tablet was having a syncing issue with my computer (for 3 days it gave me the error message that the servers were busy). Now it won't let me create any new folders in onenote that back up to my skydrive, and i can't make any changes on the skydrive website without getting the "Sorry" error. Fortunately i didn't lose any files I need. Onenote seems to be working fine other than that, it seems to be an issue with skydrive.

I'm running windows 7 64 bit (office 2010)

Surface Tablet

Android Phone

All had been syncing between each other just fine, but now the skydrive seems unable to do anything. Any help would be appreciated to get something going.

Hi All,

I'm using shared OneNote file from 3 computers and a phone. Today I accidentally deleted all the sections and pages in a file from one of the PCs and now I have an empty OneNote file in all other computers and phone. When I login at Web version of Skydrive, I can see that the file is 2.9 MB, but when I open it - it contains no sections and pages.

Is there any way to restore version of the OneNote file from yesterday ?

Thanks in advance for any direction/answer !

As of 18th September 2013 my OneNote 2010 Notebooks are not syncing to skydrive.

I first became aware of this when I opened the OneNote app (which seems to have vanished from the app store on Nokia Lumia 820) and found a single Notebook which I did not recognise and was empty, other than a link/folder labelled 'Quick Notes', a folder I was also unfamiliar with and was also empty.

Upon discovering this I went on to my PC and found that thankfully my Notebooks still existed.

I tried the Sync option as on the 18th I had tried to move my skydrive folder on my PC, so thought this might have disrupted things (I ended up putting the Skydrive Folder back where it was to begin with and believed that I had set it up correctly, as it was fine when I checked a few of my folders and content online.) evidently I am either wrong, or judging by the list of complaints/queries Microsoft is so busy modifying things, do deal with taking on board a mobile phone corporation as part of its make-up that it is causing problems for it's users. (Also Onenote is missing from Microsoft's list of options for reporting a problem, not to mention that selecting "Report a Problem" did NOT let me report a problem!!!!

Alas, they now refuse to sync to skydrive and when I try manually (as per instructions given by Microsoft, File Tab > Info> select link next to notebook > copy > paste into browser URL box > press Enter), skydrive refuses to acknowledge them, other that to tell me:

"This item might not exist or is no longer available"

"This item might have been deleted, expired or you might not have permission to view it. Contact the owner of this item for more information."

I am the owner of "...this item..."!!!!!

I would like and NEED my OneNote to sync from and to my PC as well as my Laptop and Phone.

Thank you for any assist.
