In my Outlook 2011 I am trying to export emails so they are readable by other programs, either as mbox or eml files. I have tried multiple methods to do this including....

1) Drag the folder in Outlook 2011 to my desktop to create an MBOX file.
2) Save the email itself as an eml file by dragging it to finder
3) Sending the emails to my IMAP server by creating a folder and dragging them, then synchronizing with the server
4) Sending the email as attachment

No matter what I do, if i open up the email in Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or even open it back up in Outlook 2011, I see no subject and no sender and often the emails are corrupted.

When viewing them in Thunderbird or Apple Mail I get the error message displayed "This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible."

These emails display just fine in Outlook 2011 (14.2.4), they range from recent emails to some over a decade old.  Because of this though I would never be able to move to Outlook for Windows, or any other email program, I also can't seem to forward emails as attachments from my archive on my computer.

Has anyone ever run in to this problem? I am hesitant to purchase a program like Emailchemy until I know the root cause of the issue and whether or not a program like that would fix the issue.

Thanks,

Drumtrip

We are having this issue come up when we try to activate the sharepoint/skydrive feature on Microsoft Office Business for Mac 2011.

When we open the Document Connection it says a connection has not been made to sharepoint/skydrive. How do you connect to these?

Thanks!

I can drag and drop emails to my desktop from my Inbox and other folders fine.

However if I perform a search, I cannot drag and drop the emails that have shown up from the search results..

I need to be able to search for a particular email and drag and drop it to my desktop.
I have an iMac and I cannot send emails via outlook 2011. I have 3 emails stuck in the sent box... They are not in my sent or inbox. Every time I send an email it first tries to send these 3 mails. for 2 I get an error code 3210 and for one "5.1.2 or other punctuation after the recipient's email address. g5sm23942864eem.4". Can anyone help?
    Hello there,
I had to replace the HDD of my Mac and unfortunately I could not use the Migration Assistant to restore all the files/applications.
So now I am in the condition of having to do a manual restore from the Time Machine backup of the emails that were moved from the Inbox to the Mac.
The question is: where Outlook 2011 stores those files on the Mac?
    Thanks in advance.
    Andrea
Is there a way to sync my desktop outlook emails and folders with my laptop outlook, so every change and email I move from folder to folder, and every folder I create in either machine are sync in the other?

I receive some times over 200 emails a day and I need to be very organized in order to keep track of what I have taken care of and what I have not. Needles to say I depend very much on my desktop outlook (2010), I have created several folders under the inbox folder of my outlook to move each email I received after I have responded to them. This has worked just fine the only issue that I have is that every time I go on a business trip I don't use my laptop outlook, ((mac air pro) where I also have microsoft office) because the folders I create in my desktop are not in the laptop and therefore I can't make changes to the email, or move them from inbox to any of my folders on my desktop. For this reason I have to check my emails via gmail, respond all them and when I come back to the office I have to move one by one all the emails that I have already read and responded, which in some cases can take me half of a day considering I only left for a couple of days (300-400 emails)

I would like to add that my company is a small company with only 2 employees, my partner and I and we don't use servers or anything like that to backup information or support software, we only use dropbox.

I synchronised Outlook for Mac 2011 with ical. I am seeing duplicate entries in outlook calender. How to stop events from duplicating
After 6 weeks of normal operation, suddenly cannot print emails from Outlook - I can print the same email out of Gmail but not out of Outlook - printer is working fine for Word etc., any advice?

    Thank you, David
