I am working with Outlook.  The icon for outlook in the Mac tool bar shows one message waiting to be opened.  In the list of emails, all emails are open.  I gone through all the pulldowns in Outlook and selected all and marked them all read but I still have one to open.  Is there a hidden email?  How do I get access to it so I can clear it?  Thanks.
Outlook 2011 Mac OS X Snow Leopard - Outlook keeps giving me this message - Microsoft Outlook must be closed because an error occurred. Any unsaved work may be lost. Please can somebody tell me what I can do? In the simplest terms possible please - I am not a Mac whizz kid :-/
This happens on both my 2011 17" MBP, and my 2009 27" iMac.  I'm running Mountain Lion, and keep all Microsoft updates up to date.

Very frustrating, as I never recall having to do this on a WIndows machine.

I'm now considering switching to Windows 8 due to all of the troubles I continue to have with using Microsoft's 2011 office products on a Mac - just a pain.  I left Windows because of Vista and Norton AntiVirus (hate both).  But now with Windows 8 Pro, I'm considering the switch for better integration with Office365, which I migrated our company to last year.
I updated to version 14.2.5 and now my outlook folders do not sync with server. Please advise.
I am loosing posts in my calendar. At first I questioned my own memory and wondered if I occasionally did something wrong. However, I have since then been extremely careful and still, from time to time, but way too often, post in my calendar just disappear. I d I do not seem to be able to trust it and I am about to give up on Outlook. I really need to find the reason and fix, because I have already missed important meetings and it just can't be the case that I am supposed to have to check more than one calendar to get to all important meetings.

Frustrated Outlook user
I keep getting this message when I open Oulook. I am running OS10.7.5 and MS Office 2011. I have done all updates to MS Office. This is a pretty useless error message and does not tell me anything about what brought it on or what I should do about it. Why we still have these arcane messages is a mystery to me.

Does anyone have any ideas what it means?
I use iCal exclusively and do not wish to switch to Outlook, having just downloaded Office 2011 for Mac. I can't find a way of removing Outlook from the dock and I would like advice on how to do so.  I would like to keep Work, Powerpoint and Excel in the dock as I use them.
Thank you,
JPS
I have a group of family and friends to whom I send a couple of jokes a week.  Contact Groups defaults to Work Email which is not appropriate, but I don't see any way to set the default email in the individual user's identity or in the Group. I see no global preference. How can you set the default email to Home email?    If you can't, this is a major oversight.
