Dear Forum,

I am using Outlook for Mac 14.3.8 (latest version) under Mac OS 10.8.5 (latest version) on a Macbook Pro Retina, Mid 2012.
I have been using Office for Mac on my Macbook happily for many months, but since about one month I have a serious problem.

Outlook will crash at random times, meaning I see the "spinning wheel", when clicking on the Outlook window. This alone would not be a tragedy, but I am unable to "Force quit" Outlook. Not only this, but soon after this all other active processes freeze as well! The only way to resolve the situation is to restart the macbook by holding down the power button.

I have contacted the Apple support, who suggested to clean the caches and to verify/repair the SSD hard disk. This has been done, but it has not solved the problem. And interestingly, the freezing occurs only when Outlook is running, so I would be tempted to exclude a hardware or OS defect.

Unfortunately I can not say what has triggered this issue (e.g. update of Outlook or update of Mac OS).

I would be thankful for hints on how to investigate this problem in more detail. I have checked the Console, but found no entries that could be related to this.

Best regards,
Leopold Talirz
I use iCal exclusively and do not wish to switch to Outlook, having just downloaded Office 2011 for Mac. I can't find a way of removing Outlook from the dock and I would like advice on how to do so.  I would like to keep Work, Powerpoint and Excel in the dock as I use them.
Thank you,
JPS
I am using the new Macbook Pro Retina 15".  In Outlook when I'm composing a new email and start typing the recipient in the To box, the suggested names come up but they are off the screen and I can't scroll through them unless I move the message very far down on my screen.  Does any know of this issue or have a fix?
Does anyone have any idea when Office for Mac 2011 will be updated for the new Macbook Pro Retina Display?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro Retina. But I don't see mij iCloud contacts in mij Outlook contacts. I checked the box in outlook with says that it would sync with contacts, but this does not work, it only lists 1 contact, "me"  .....

I read on this forum that you can import contacts, this is not my preferred option, because you will not always be up to date ... But also when I try this it doesn't work. What I do is:
In Finder I go to applications -> then drag de adressbook icon into the contacts in Outlook, but then nothing happens ...

Can you please help me?
