I can preview PPT file in the finer.
But I can't preview a PPT attachment in a mail in outlook.
How can I fix it?
I have recently upgraded my iMac to the new Maverick system, whilst having Mac Office 2011 installed. Now i get a problem with outlook dropping the connection to my mail server (BT) and then reloading EVERY email still on the server. This happens 2 or three times a day and is becoming a pain. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what has to be done to fix it please?
Guys,

I am having lots of frustrations with my Office Outlook. It keeps on trying to download an email (perhaps from my exchange server) but nothing is coming thru. I don't care about the email but the problem is that it is trying to sync every few seconds and this is very disruptive since it automatically goes to my inbox view every time it tries to synch. So I might be in a specific folder looking through past emails and when it tries to synch again it takes me to the inbox.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried calling MS Support but that might be the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Long waits and then when i get a live person on the line they tell me that they can't help me and i have to pay for Pro Support. They actually don't even try to help me.

Would really appreciate some help.

Thanks.

Hi all,
My company uses outlook for our email, and we also utilize a web-based software named CentralDesktop to manage some of our client files and tasking needs,  When users send notifications to lists of people through CentralDesktop, the notifications come into our emails and look like:
"John Smith via Central Desktop".  This saves to the list of contacts automatically.

The problem we run into, is that if you are looking to send emails to that user (John Smith) in the future, there are now 2 records available for him in Outlook.  His regular *** Email address is removed for privacy *** (which displays as "John Smith"), and then also the "John Smith via Central Desktop" address.

The issue we run into is that the 2nd email address I mentioned above is actually a distribution list, which includes ALL users who John Smith originally emailed from Central Desktop.  I'm sure you can imagine the issues this could cause when someone sends company-wide emails from Central Desktop (We use this feature very often), and then someone else tries to email ONLY john smith, and instead is sending to the entire company.

My question is, is there a way to prevent only certain email addresses from being add to the list of available addresses for Outlook Auto-complete?

The 2 other options (albeit terrible options) I've come up with are to have users regularly delete these Central Desktop email addresses manually from the auto-complete list, or to fully disable the auto-complete feature.
OS: OSX 10.9
Outlook version: 14.3.8 (130913)

Problem: I'm not fully sure how to explain this. There is an email covering everything below the ribbon and it's offset, so I can't close it, nor can I view my Inbox. The Outlook window is fully expanded. If I click on the Organize or Tools tab, it changes the ribbon, but nothing below. See screenshot

I've tried deleting preferences and rebuilding the database to no avail.

What should I try next?

Hello,
I only have local Calender available on my Outlook Mac 2011. The Calender folder (which is configured for Exchange) is completely empty. It tries to sync with Exchange and keep downloading the items on and off but I there's nothing at all in the Calender folder.
When I try to go in Calender to create new Calender, the New Calender button is grayed out.
Outlook ver is 14.3.8 and Mac OS is 10.8.3
Is there anyway to fix this issue without creating new account from the beginning?

Thanks

Outlook said to rebuild Outlook for Mac 2011 Database.  Followed instructions found at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2360509/en-us  Apparently rebuild was successful, but now Outlook displays no emails or folder contents.  Message says I have no email setup.  I am hesitant to go about once again setting up email, because instructions referenced above said nothing about the need to do that.  Please advise.
Hi,
I reinstalled Office for Mac 2011 after upgrading to Mavericks. After configuration of incoming and outgoing email server I'm not able anymore to send emails. I made exactly the same configuration in my MacBookPro's "MAIL", where I can send emails without any problems. For authentication of outgoing server I confirmed "same information as incoming server". Any idea what could happen?
Many thanks in advance,

I am trying to import mails in mac mail from outlook 2011. Is there any thing wrong with the import function of my mac mail, outlook 2011 is not available in options. However I dont want to get into that much technicalities, just need a simple solution that will transfer all my emails from outlook 2011 to mac mail. Awaiting responses.
