I am recieving copies of email multiple times.
At random throughout the day, Outlook will all of a sudden send me gorups 20-100 emails, again, and again.
The numbers of email vary, and are becoming increasingly annoying.

Might any of you have some idea of what could be causing this.

thank you!!
Outlook is 14.3.8. It sends e-mails but doesn't receive e-mails. When I click the "Send/Receive" button nothing happens. I don't get the message "Outlook cannot connect to the server." My Internet connection is good. When I log into Comcast I have plenty of e-mails.

Yesterday Outlook froze. I quit and rebuilt the database (held Option down while restarting). Then I restarted my computer. After that it sent e-mail but hasn't received anything.

I updated to Mavericks last week. One day Outlook downloaded hundreds of old e-mails from Comcast. I fixed that by going into my Comcast account and deleting the old e-mails.
A recent Office 2011 update installed on my iMac and now there are no emails in my On My Computer folders - previously there were thousands. The account is connected to an Exchange server and all the server emails are there ok in my Inbox.
Could someone please help me retrieve the On My Computer emails?

I can see only a blank window and Outlook freeze. I must exit by force the pgm.
If I go to Preference and click on account I can't see that and then if I click on other preferences see in the picture....
Ho can I solve that problem?
I recently switched from PC to Mac.

On my PC, If I wanted to refresh (for example I changed/updated an email address for a contact and that contact appeared in a contact group and I wanted the contact in the Group to display the updated email address for that contact)
I would press F5.

What is the equivalent to F5 on a Mac if I want to refresh?

Many thanks
I'm trying to accept a shared calendar. When I log into the outlook web app, the shared calendar has already been accepted and I can view it. The outlook for mac 2011 doesn't pick up this calendar. I have tried to open the calendar from using open from other user's folder. I get an error stating I don't have permissions. However, this same calendar has been accepted via OWA. Is there a solution to get the outlook for mac 2011 to get this shared calendar?
Whether I am reading emails, looking for an email, or writing an email, the spinning pinwheel will pop up for an extended period of time. If I hold the cursor over the Outlook icon in the bar, it will come up that the app is not responding and give me the option to force quit. If I wait a little longer, the pinwheel will go away and I can continue with what I was doing. I'm using 14.3.8.

Any ideas?

i need to create a large number of recurring events for setting up the periodic 1-1s.

i have tried to use the applescript, and i am able to create a standard event without recurrence. however when i add the recurrence piece it fails to create event. your help is greatly appreciated

tell application "Microsoft Outlook"

set sd to current date

set time of sd to (13 * 60 * 60)

set evt to make new calendar event with properties {start time:sd, end time:sd + 60 * minutes, subject:"test", content:"test content"}

end tell

above script doesnt work. pl help.

i am getting the following error

error "Microsoft Outlook got an error: Can’t make {start date:date \"Wednesday, 6 November 2013 1:00:00 PM\", end date:{end type:\"no end type\"}, recurrence type:\"daily\", occurrence interval:2, month number:11, day of month:1, ordinal:1, days of week:{\"wednesday\"}} into type recurrence, missing value."

Every couple weeks, one user or another in my office will report that Outlook for Mac 2011 is re-downloading hundreds or thousands of emails. Initially I thought these folks needed to set Outlook to delete mail from the server, but in the latest instance, the user definitely has that property set. The size of his mail file on the server is tiny, but this morning his Outlook started "downloading" nearly 5,000 messages back to at least 2012. He's using version 14.3.4, but I believe newer versions have seen this behavior as well.

Is Outlook for Mac 2011 actually downloading, or is it somehow duplicating messages and just saying that it's downloading? Is there any solution for this?
Could someone please help me understand why this is happening.

Does not happen with every email I send just on a few and I am not even sure if they are still actually getting sent.

From time to time I get the yellow triangle at the bottom of my outlook which displays the error message.

An unknown error has occurred in Outlook.
A message in your Outbox could not be sent. The account which created the message cannot be found.

If anyone could help, would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
