mail import doesn’t bring in all the emails in the folder

I had a live mail folder backed up on an external hard drive and the folder shows 20 emails; but after the import, there are only 14 showing. How do I get the other 6 to show? Note that the 6 "missing" emails are re: (i.e. reply) type of one of the showing 14 - only the last re: shows - even the original email in the chain isn't showing. Thanks for your help.

I have Windows live mail. Everytime I open my mail page, a notice telling me to "sign in to live mail" shows up. Why does this notice shew up every time?

How do I delete only my Facebook Contacts ( 183) form my Microsoft Live Mail contacts lists?

For weeks now my Live Mail shows this error message when I open it and says it can't send or receive messages. If I close it and reopen it works fine. How can I stop this error?

Help once more. How can I eliminate subject linkage in my E-mail account?

I earlier asked how to convert back from Outlook to normal E-mail. The message I received allowed me to make this conversion successfully.

When I returned to my normal E-mail account, my messges were now all linked by subject. Is it possible to undo this linkage? How? thank you.

Recover info from deleted account?

Comcast sent a note to change ports on outgoing mail. During the process with them, I accidentally deleted my account from Windows Live. I set up a new account (using all the same info), but none of the saved emails that were saved in the folders I had survived. Is there a way to retrieve them? I tried using a system restore with no luck. I suspect the answer is no, but I thought I would try. I am using Live Mail 2011 and Windows 7. Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not sure if this is the right forum.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit with ALL updates etc etc.

Just recently I installed Windows 7 64 bit (was 32bit) and all seems well except for an odd problem with Windows Live mail 2011.

<PROBLEM> I can open send and receive mails with no problem but when I have finished using Mail I sometimes (80 - 90% of the time) seem to be unable to close the Mail application by clicking simply clicking on the "Close" "Restore Down" or "Minimize" buttons in the top right corner of the Mail window - it just freezes up ??

I can clear it by hitting right mouse button anywhere on the desktop and selecting Refresh and that clears the Mail screen, or by opening Mail again.

Any ideas ??

Dont know what has happened but my listing of e-mails has changed from a date listing to alphabet listing. Please how do I get this back to date listing. I would be very grateful if someone could help. Was easy to do when I had Outlook Express.

I’ve just realized that my Calendar (Windows Live Mail 2012) is empty and all past, current, and future Events are gone!

Is it possible somehow to retrieve the vanished Events ??

Can I use Restore or Backup of earlier date to restore Calendar/Events only?

and voila! My calendar and Events are all there!

But how to export (if it is the right word) it to my Calendar / Windows Live Mail ??

I don’t see any menu option to do that! Thank you.
