Just bought a new computer after a storm compromised my old computer.  I had Outlook Express before, and had my e-mail transferred to the new Live Mail account.  I have followed the instructions I got from my ISP several times, and I believe I have all settings right, but I keep getting pop ups that say the Pop3 server is not responding, or error messages--usually 550, that SMTP is not working for outgoing mail.

I tried to do a live mail chat with an ISP rep., and he referred me to the written instruction link that I'd already been using.  It's been a week now, everything else is working, and I'm getting my e-mail by going on the internet, but Live Mail would be easier, and offers more options.

when dowloading windows live mail, i get the message" not connected to the server"  yet i am connected to the internt.  so i cannot download it.  can you help.  thanks
Need to configure windows live to send emails only. Requirement is emails can only be received and stored on one computer. Using both windows XP and 7 systems. Can this be done? We were able to do it with outlook express by leaving the incoming data blank. Windows live email will not allow this procedure.
Thanks for any/all help

Windows 7 64 bit system

 Office 2010 32 bit system

Windows live mail hangs. Cannot perform any of the functions. Re installed 6 times, repaired application 4 times. Cleaned  disk twice, performed Norton registry clean up 3 times.

Verified with comcast.net  Email address settings are correct and work with Outlook 2010

Unable to delete, move, read and download emails with  live mail.

A major storm knocked power out for six days. Had the system on at the time and took several large hits. All other programs work fine.

Re installing  and repairing Windows Live Email is not the answer. There is something beyond those two corrective procedures. In addition, I  deactivated the Norton Anti Virus program and Windows live still hangs …same old problem.

Please advise,

Links in email messages in Windows Live Mail are opening in Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

How can I change back to Internet Exporer?

Windows live Mail

This program is used at my work but we're having issues with it...
When the web design company came and made changes to my website they added and setup Windows live Mail on all the computers we have but when I go onto my windows live mail account and open a piece of mail and it shows that it is unopened but then when I go to a different computer and login it shows the mail as unopened when it has been opened on a different computer previously.

This problem has started from the beginning, it's not something that has just started.

This is a big problem because when I open the mail I would like it too be seen so my workers don't go printing off copies when i've already done it or come into my office explaining something that i've already read.

Please Help,

Dominic.
Here is my issue. I had an issue the other day with a file on my computer msacm32.dll. I was giving me issue and wouldn't let me play certain games. I discovered I needed to free up some hardrive space. It was causing issues with unity player, and a game that loaded from Steam.

I was also getting error messages when trying to load mail through live essentials. So I uninstalled Windows Live Essentials in an effort to re-install it to get it to work. Well the issue with the .dll was fixed the games worked fine after I cleared harddrive space, though I still had 50 GB there so don't quiet understand why it was an issue, but the problem was fixed.

So today I tried to re-install Windows Live Essentials and it seemed to work, yet none of the shortcuts are in my start menu. I have deleted every folder I can find that is related to this program manually. WLE (short for)is not in my uninstall list from the control panel. I can't get WLE to install properly even though the program says its did. I cant delete the Windows Live Mail folders.

If I think of any other issues attempts I'll add them.

original title: Outlook Express

My old computer with Outlook Express died; I bought a PC with Windows 7,  The techs downloaded all info from old but cannot find Outlook Express emails.  How do I find and transfer to Windows Live Mail?

I upgraded from windows vista to windows 7. How can I convert my windows vista mail folders and emails to windows 7 live mail?

I use Windows Live Mail using a POP server on a Windows 7 machine. Frequently but not everytime when I press Send after writing an email a box appears stating that the spell check has been halted, do I want to send the email anyway. In case I might loose the email I select 'yes'. Windows Live Mail then crashes has to be closed down and re-started. The email does get sent.

I have McAfee's anti-virus installed which does check all outgoing emails for viruses as well as incoming ones.

Peter
