Hi,

I just purchased a new mac. Purchased Office 2011 w/Outlook for mac. I followed the instructions for automatic setup of my hotmail account.

I can send and receive from all email accounts. The only issue I am having is that spam email is not downloading to my mac. I know that initially it seems like a god-send ~ No more spam! However, spam filters often block legitimate email and not having the option of viewing it is...

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Know of or seen any fixes or workarounds?

spam email coming in 1000 a day?

I am having a total nightmare. Spam has just started coming in at around 1000 a day. I have just set my account to "receive only from contacts" until it is resolved but this is now putting all my email business enquiries from new business into the junk and whilst out on travels using blackberry i am missing important messages as they are ending up in the junk which blackberry doesnt show! This is a total total nightmare so any help much appreciated. I have been using hotmail for over 10 yrs and never experienced this before

I am receiving hundreds of junk email from @b.(some name)??.net or .com or .info etc.

I had an answer for this a year or so ago but now I have spam email in my inbox with senders address with @b.?????.net, .com, .info, etc. The previous problem was with @a.?????.com, .net etc.

How can I block spam email with just blocking @b. and cover them all?

I am receiving suspicious emails from things like ebay and paypal that are not genuine.

Ebay and Paypal both request I forward the email to them, however HOTMAIL alerts me that should I forward the email, it will open any pictures, links etc making my account open to further spam email of this nature. This is highly irregular. I wish to protect my account by alerting these websites that I am recieving spoofs on their behalf, but by doing so I am risking further emails? Surely HOTMAIL cannot operate this way? Please help! :)

in this email it says:

Dear Broadband Customer,

We are notifying you that your computer has sent spam email's from your IP "69.49.30.200"
Please remove all viruses and adware ASAP or we will have to suspend your home internet connection.

I've gotten 14 of them since 7-19-12.
I don't spam anyone, and know I have no viruses or adware, so what gives.....

Hacked Account- reactivation code email address is unavailable

My account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) has been blocked as it has been sending out spam email.

The reactivation code is being sent to an email address that I haven't used in a very long time.

When I try to log in to this email address, I get a message telling me that the account doesn't exist. This wouldn't surprise me as it really has been ages since I used it, but it would appear that Windows Live have closed the account down.

The reactivation message drop down doesn't give me the option of any other email addresses (I am now aware that I needed to set this up; I believed WL held more information on me than it obviously does, my mistake) and doesn't tell me what to do if I can't access the reactivation email.

I have reset my password on the hacked account, and successfully used my security questions to do this, but Windows Live still says it needs the activation code.

Could someone please help me with my next step, please?

Hey, I was wondering, is it possible to completely reset my email account, stop people sending me email, i get so much spam email its unbelieveable, i just want the emails to come through that I ask for, not random emails about PPI and insurance etc, is there a way of doing this, if so please tell me how... IM BEGGING YOU!!! hehe.
