Wondering if  Microsoft security essentials is perhaps not compatible with my macbook air.

It seems as if someone has gained access to my contacts and has sent them an ad from my account. I have a macbook air and I tried to download microsoft security essentials as provided free by hotmail but it did not download. i am a lost as to how to deal with this problem. Quite computer incompetant here. Any help woould be appreciated.
Just imported from 2004. Font all funny, Broaday. I changed it to Ariel in words, but now weird spacing issue and one line is different font another. What trick for font and size to get clean easy look in 2011? thanks.
We have the same problem with multiple of our customers.

Problem:

Each user needs to see multiple shared calenders.
We can add them without a problem, but it turns outlook 2011 in a real nightmare, slow responds and crashes.
If we remove the shared calenders, the problem is fixed and outlook works fast again.

We have this problem since we migrated from an onsite exchange 2003 to Office365 and Outlook2011, with the onsite exchange there was no problem.
It works perfectly on windows7 with office 2010 but all the Mac computers with outlook2011 are working so slow they constantly crash.

Is there some way to solve this, seems to me that calendar sharing is a basic function.

The Mac machines all have 8 GB of RAM and an up to date office2011.

I hope anyone can help.

Thx

I am able to access my Hotmail account but cannot go further. Cannot open my mail etc. At the bootom bar it appears " Done, but with errors on page." I have re-started the computer and logged out many times. Still the same problem. Anyone pls assist.

I've been having the same problem as many others with the mandatory update.  I cannot send or reply to emails.  I get the Failed to Initiate Shared Canvas message.  I tried the steps to delete Live Essentials files, and I also Uninstalled Windows Live Essentialsm..  But four files wouldn't delete out of C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live Essentials: SQMAPI.DLL, WLIDNSP.DLL, WLID.SVC  and WLIDSVCM.  All said they were open in either Live ID Sign-In Assistant or Audio Sign-in.  Nevertheless, I reinstalled Live Essentials and am still getting the same message.

Come on Microsoft.  How do we fix this mess.  I would like to be able to send emails.

I'm using Windows live Mail on an eight-month-old computer running Windows 7 64-bit. It seemed to be doing just fine until my dial-up BellSouth/AT&T Internet account instructed me to change my inbound and outbound mail settings from the old BellSouth servers to new AT&T servers. After struggling for weeks to get the new settings to work, I still have one set of problems which is making my mail a nightmare to use. I'm constantly getting the error message:

"Unable to send or receive messages for the Bellsouth account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'inbound.att.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes"

I think because my e-mail can never finish downloading, I'm getting a second problem: I'm constantly getting the same messages flooding my inbox over and over until there are hundreds of each one. I've had this problem at times in the past with other computers using mail programs I'm more familiar with like Microsoft outlook. I I have gone directly into my AT&T account many times now deleting messages hoping that there's one that's screwing up Microsoft live, but it never fixes the problem. Going into my e-mail account with my browser is also a problem, because for some reason about half the time whenever I try to login, the browser window (Internet Explorer 9) simply closes! The AT&T website where I check my mail is the only one that does this. It's maddening!

I'm spending 90% of my computer time now desperately deleting messages out of both Microsoft live and directly from AT&T. The only thing I know to do in the Microsoft Live settings is under the advanced tab where I've increased my server timeouts to first 3 min. and then 4 min. Under delivery "leave a copy of messages on server" is currently unchecked, but I've tried it both ways and neither seems to make any difference.

If someone out there can help me I would be so grateful. I feel like I'm on the edge of losing my sanity over this. I'm losing many hours that I can't afford to lose, and I'm almost ready to throw this computer that I desperately need out the window! Thank you.

HI,

I have windows 7, and am a first time user of Windows Live Messenger 2011, I have tried adding a friend as a contact, it always says she's offline and on her PC It show me as offline, even though both of us are online, I read via google that I need to delete the "contacts\your messenger" folder.  Having worked out what the new equivilent of "Documents and settings" is in Windows 7 "Users", I can not see the contacts file, any ideas?

Thanks

My MacBookPro has Lion and the latest version of Office for Mac 2011.
I have the same configuration with my iMac.
On my imac I haven0t problem, but with the MacBookPro evey time I boot it or open my profile, the system rebuild the identity.
I have already deleted some .plist files and I have also deleted the identity.
Every time it rebuilding the identity.
