Why do I continue to get "Sorry there is a problem with Hotmail right now" on one of my email accounts, when I have 3 other accounts that I can log into just fine?  I tried changing my password, no difference.

Hello,

We originally installed Office 2008 that came with Entourage.  After about 6 months Entourage has been giving us trouble.

We installed the upgrade to Office 2011 when it came available but our version did not include outlook.

After many continuing problems with Entourage, we decided to download the Trial version of office that included outlook.

Upon trying to run outlook for the first time, a message pops up saying that it cannot switch to the identity and pops up a box to choose the identity.

I tried creating a new identity but this did not solve the problem.

I tried the database repair tool but this did not solve the problem

I tried putting the 2011 identities folder in the trash but this did not solve the problem.

I do not want to remove the existing software as I am worried that entourage will stop working all together.

What can we do to get this running?

Thank you,
Alex

Hi there,

I have the following problem:

Once I've sent an email via Outlook 2011, I want the "Move to folder ..." dialog box to open so I can move the sent mail to an email folder.

On the MS Windows version of Outlook I have used Sperry's SentItemsOrganizer, but this software is not available for the Mac Version of Outlook.

Has anybody figured out a way to do this ie. using Rules and Applescript?

I have already searched the web, but couldn't find a solution.

Best,
Marcus
When I try to write an email, Outlook quits and says that it encountered a problem and needs to close.  I can still receive email, reply and forward it, but cannot write an email.

I'm having a particular problem currently with Outlook 2011 for Mac.  It involves typing contractions starting with "I'" such as I've or I'm.

It appears that if I type these contractions in a new email that uses the default black color and no italics everything is fine.  BUT, if I use italics or color things malfunction.  How?  If I type "I've" the "v" becomes capitalized and suddenly everything grinds to a half.  If I type the "e" I then hear a bell, the menu in the email fades to gray and I cannot type anything further.  STRANGE!  Same if I type "I'm".  The "m" capitalizes but then the ability to type ends, the keyboard freezes so to speak and when I hit a key I simply hear a bell.  Once this problem arises going back to black font and no italics doesn't help.  The problem continues.  I can go to the capitalized letter, highlight it and then type it small and it will work.  BUT, I cannot type emails that way, stopping each time.

Any ideas as to the problem?  I installed Mountain Lion so I am guessing that did something although I do not know.

Thanks.
