Get Outlook.com account to sync with Comcast IMAP server.

Hello,

 What I have...

A Comcast.net email address. It is my Primary Microsoft Account address.

It used to be a POP3 account, I recently switched it to a IMAP account through Comcast's IMAP BETA program.

My Surface, Windows Phone, and Outlook 2010 on my PC are all configured to sync with Comcast's server (IMAP) w/o issue.

I have an Outlook.com account that is linked to the original Comcast.net account when it was a POP3 account.

I would like to configure the Outlook.com account to sync with the Comcast.net (IMAP) account/server now but don't see any options to do so.

Is this possible? and if so how? I recently read that Outlook.com added the option to use IMAP but I don't see any options to convert it from POP3 to IMAP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

newfiend~

I want to keep my msn email on my iphone

My iphone had an msn email account on it..... somehow the incoming mail server got erased and is a pop3 account.  I researched and a pop3 account does not include folders however, I did have them before.   I am assuming I had an IMAP account of some type.   I just want my msn email to go back to the way it was and when logging onto my msn account on my pc whatever I had deleted did sync with my phone.  I just want to know what to put in that field on the phone.    I am desperate.   Thanks

I'm having a similar problem but in my case the POP3 account was working then magically quit and can no longer bring email from my att.net account. I can log into the account at ATT but outlook.com cannot. JRB

Send / Receive – multiple accounts

I have set up a new MacBook Air with Outlook 2011 and have defined 4 different accounts - one on MSN and three POP3 accounts.  Outlook will only send-receive on the MSN account.  One of the POP3 accounts is defined as the default, and I can send just fine using that account, so it is connecting to that server OK.  Contact categories are also behaving strangely, but that's another issue perhaps for another thread.  I'm tempted to uninstall / reinstall Office, reimport the old .pst file and start over defining the POP3 account (the main one) first.

I've added a POP3 account (hotmail) into my Outlook Client.  My emails are coming in, but my calendar is not synching.  Since these are both Microsoft products, I would expect that there is a way to synch my Hotmail (now Outlook) calendar with my Outlook client.  Can you help and thanks.

The response to my question listed below did not work.  I have a MAC Pro, the email account is a POP3 account, and I am using Outlook 2011.
Thanks.

Today, all my email folders in Outlook disappeared.  The only folder that shows up is the Inbox folder.  I need to have my folders back because I've got lots of information in these folders.

How can I get them back?

Thanks.
