separate inbox folders for separate accounts – outlook 2011

I've recently changed from a windows laptop to a mac book pro. in outlook 2010 it was standard, that for every e-mail account a separate inbox folder was created.

i've read some answers like 'it's default for pop accounts on a mac' . but i still don't understand it. in the standard mail software on the mac, imac, iPad and iPhone for every pop account there is a separate inbox created. so it's possible to have separate inboxes for pop accounts on a mac.....

so..... is there some trick to create separate inboxes for different accounts in outlook 2011?

I am not receiving email in Hotmail after trying all the suggestions posted

My email from my POP account is not coming through to Hotmail on my computer or Android phone. I have read all the posts on this issue. I tried a test message-it didn't come through. I deleted the account but now it won't let me re-enter it. I checked the forwarding-it is off. Any other suggestions?

Email signiture appears in second email account

I have 2 email accounts, one is a Microsoft 365 account which is my work email and the other is a POP account for personal use, whenever I write an email in the POP account the email signature from work email shows up by default.

How do I stop this happening as it's really irritating

Hi,

I may also be showing my ignorance here and also apologise.

I have read the answers on this page but am still slightly unsure of the answer to my own question.

I have a POP account and it is the only one on "My Computer"

I have Outlook for Mac version 14.2.5 OS 10.8.2

I simply nedd to have some simple rules to copy my incoming and outgoing mails to a folder on My Computer.

I note however that I can do this on Rules for outgoing mail but not (as far as I can see) on incoming mail.

Is this the case.

Plus if I want to archive a number of other mail in folders on "My Computer" using my Time machine and Time capsule can I do this easily with the Outlook archive X software.

Will this easily guide me through the process of backup to Time Capsule via Time Machine or are the other 3rd party providers shown more novice friendly ?

Outlook for mac 2011 keeps downloading old messages

I use Outlook for mac 2012 with the latest update – 14.2.4. I also use the latest OS on mac - version 10.8.2. Until a few weeks ago, I had an IMAP account with godaddy. I deleted the IMAP account and created a POP account because it started downloading old messages. Now the same issue has re-occurred with the POP account. This is quite frustrating especially when I have old 22,000 messages downloading again. PLEASE HELP URGENTLY

Office 2011 for Mac, one POP account won't send. Previous problem like this was resolved by "clearing permissions" but I have no recollection of how this was done. Help!

convert from pop to imap in Outlook for Mac 2011

Does anyone have a step by step process for me to convert my hotmail pop account to an imap account within Outlook for Mac 2011? I originally set it up as a pop account and now realize I much rather have it as an imap account.....I have read and heard that if I delete the pop account and start all over again setting up a new account as an imap, it will screw things up...how, I do not know...so I just want to convert without creating other problems...anyone have any clues? Appreciate it...thanks....Ken

sending attachments from iMac using office 2011 cannot be opened by recipients

one mac in office sends pdfs, jpgs, xls files as attachments, but the recipients cannot open them.
The email account is a pop account.
the attachments can be opened by the user before he sends them.
but once received, they arrive as attachments, with same file size, but cannot be opened or saved locally from outlook.

the same user gets this problem as well, if he tries to open the attachment from the email that is in his sent items too.
