Junk E-Mail Protection, under tools, is 'grayed out'. We are using Microsoft Online/Exchange and there is no rule to accomplish on the Macintosh version what I can do on a Window's based Outlook (e.g. 2010 Outlook).
When I BLOCK a piece of e-mail I also have to SEND IT TO JUNK, a two-step operation which is extra work. When i go to jUNK in Windows Outlook I have numerous options plus the ability to modify my Junk E-mail options.
If these features not available, so be it, but want to make sure there is no way to invoke Junk E-mail protection on Mac Outlook 2011.
Hi,
One of my clients here at work is unable to see any contacts including the global ones. We are on Office 365 and he can see all contacts in there.
I have asked him to add a new contact to his outlook client and see if it shows up on the cloud (Office 365) and it did. I have also asked him to create on in the cloud and see if it shows up on hin client (Outlook 2011) and it did. Even doing a search
on Outlook 2011 returns with nothing.
I have rebuilt his Outlook profile but that didn't help either. Any idea?
Thanks!

Im on an iMac using OS X 10.8.5. I've been using Outlook for
Mac 2011 for almost a year with no problems on a hosted Exchange server (Network Solutions).
After a recent Microsoft update (14.3.9), Outlook crashed
and had created a "recovered account." Ever since then I can't access any accounts (Exchange or iMail) through Outlook Preferences
(followed by Accounts) -- every time I try to do so the screen just freezes (I want to delete
accounts that seem to have duplicated with the recovery).
I'm receiving/sending emails through the accounts no problem -- but as noted I have duplicate accounts now (with thousands of emails) and can't delete the duplicate accounts (or do anything else
with them for that matter).
Any ideas?
Upgrading a friends' 2011 MacBook Pro 15″ from Snow Leopard to Mavericks broke the Outlook identity.
There seems to be a problem with rebuilding the Main identity using the Microsoft Database Utility. I already tried to manually copy the essential folders of the (old) main identity to a new identity using finder and rebuilt it, so far without success. Every
try ends in error [-18000]
The main identity has a size of approximately 10GB
Anybody experienced the same problem?
I am receiving emails just fine. When trying to respond, I get an error message, "Connection to the server failed or was dropped." If I cut and paste the email received into a fresh message, including my response, it sends fine. Went over my SMTP settings
with AT&T and all are correct. I'm on Outlook 14.1.0; Mac OSX 10.8.5.
i can not figure out how to remove messages from my main server. in my old windows version of outlook, it had a box to check to remove from the server. i can not find that option in office for mac 2011. does anyone know where this is located?
we just start to use Exchange . the server located in china.

Hello, I have set up Outlook on my MacBook Pro as my default for managing emails. I have version 14.3.9 Mac 2011. Outlook is supplied by my BT Yahoo account. For some unknown reason, Outlook has started to re-download all the emails in my BT Yahoo inbox,
meaning I now have several copies of the same email in my Outlook account. I have around 4,000 emails in my BT Yahoo inbox, and this is the number being downloaded each time. I now have over 12,000 emails in my Outlook inbox. Once the download starts, I cannot
stop it. All my new emails are then the last to be downloaded. It is sending me around the bend! I also receive my emails on my iPad and iPhone without any problem, so I know it is something to do with my MacBook Pro. I have recently installed CleanMyMac2
and MAcPAw Gemini. Is this linked? Your assistance would be gratefully received.
For some unknown reason my Outlook has started downloading all my emails again. I can't stop it, it's taking ages, they go back for at least 4 years, over 18,000-odd emails. I had marked all emails in my inbox before this started as read. Now I am being
populated with old messages, I don't need or want, which are obviously all coming in as Not Read. Restart hasn't solved it, I can't find anything online to help. Anyone got any ideas. At the moment, to read my new mail I have to log into Microsoft Outlook.com
online! .... I really need it sorted soon as I am self-employed and need to see mail as it comes in!
I am working on a Mac, using Outlook for Mac. My main account for mail and calendar is outlook.com. For some reason, I am unable to sync contacts and calendar between Outlook for Mac and my Windows Phone/ online accont. Only the mail is picking up thanks
to the new imap-settings.
How can I solve this? Will this work in the new Outlook for Mac expected in 2014 (I am using Office365)?
Looking forward to any suggestions to solve this :)
