I want to rename my outlook account to an alias from my hotmail account. How can I do this?

I saw online about merging current Windows Live Messenger accounts with Skype, and I am keen on getting this done quickly.
However, I am a bit confused... Do i merge Skype with my hotmail account *(edwal****) or just use my newly-merged Outlook account *(idwal) instead?

Long ago i used to communicate to a certain email address. Now I am no more interested to continue further any messaging with that email address. So I now like to block that email address not to send me any emails.
Could you please let me know how to block any email address which is no more required by me.
i have just downloaded office for Mac and i have setup my outlook account, i added 3 accounts (gmail, yahoo and hotmail) it downloaded all my emails however in the left panel on outlook it's only showing gmail as account, can anyone help ?
I don't know how my hotmail account suddenly became a outlook account. It literally happened while I was going through my e-mails. Is there a way to get back to the hotmail version or is this inevitable and I have no choice?

I use Office 2011 for Mac and came in this morning to find the last two weeks worth of sent emails disappeared from my Outlook account. Any idea where to find them? I use a POP mail account.
It's been a day of my Windows Live Essentials Mail being opened for the first time, and not a single of my 100 or so E-Mails has yet to arrive. I was previously, and still am, using my Outlook account online, accessing it from my @lesley.edu address.

I am connected to a 25 Mbit/s Internet connection that works for other uses. My Skydrive works on my desktop. It's setup as a "Windows Live/Hotmail E-Mail Account" for server settings. I setup Windows Live Essentials Mail just yesterday, so it's had a day since it said it had a "few minutes" to sync my E-Mail. Even new E-Mail I sent through my GMail account to my Live account doesn't get downloaded to my Live on my desktop, but I can access it as normal on my Webmail Outlook.

This problem started a few days ago when my Hotmail screen kept changing to Outlook. I kept clicking the Option button to change it back to Hotmail. Now, it has changed permanently to Outlook from Hotmail. However, when I log onto my account, the Outlook
screen becomes blank after about 5 seconds. What is perplexing is that this happens only on this computer, and NOT when I log onto Outlook on my laptop. Also, when my son logged onto his Outlook account on this computer, it works okay. In other words,
this is happening ONLY with my Outlook account.
My hotmail account was deleted, i linked it to my outlook account and deleted it along with my hotmail account. Now when i try to log into my hotmail account it says it doesn't exist. Can someone help me please i need my hotmail back?
