My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.  I use Windows Live Mail for my email.  My ISP is Time Warner (Rochester, NY).  I can send and receive email, but as of a few days ago, after my real email has been managed, Live Mail continues to indicate that it is downloading email.  The numbers just keep rolling rapidly and don't stop.  Soon the screen is indicating that it has downloaded tens of thousands of emails and is continuing to download more.  No actual emails appear in my mail program and a check at my email account at the Time Warner website shows that there are no emails to download.  Please HELP!

Thank you,

Tom Plutchak

Hi:

I am using the Windows Live Mail application. The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium with all the latest patches applied. I am also running Norton 360 with daily updates.

I discovered yesterday that when I tried to compose a new mail message, I got a dialog box indicating that a problem has occurred. Please try again. Then a second dialog box appears indicating that Windows Live Mail has stopped working, close program. It appears that I can still receive new messages.

In addition to being unable to compose new messages, I am unable to either reply or f/w any of my emails. I have changed none of Mail configuration settings.

Would be really handy if future versions of these email applications would have a repair option available. Receiving and sending emails is a daily occurrence. Would appreciate  any help that is offered.

I have an Acer aspire x1930 desktop with 4GB of Ram running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1. The graphics are Intel on board with all updates installed. Direct X is version 11, DDI 10.1. Windows Movie Maker will not run, telling me to check the minimum system requirements. I have installed the suggested fix patch and reinstalled Movie Maker but it will still not run.

Hi

I have attempted to use Windows Movie Maker but get the message:

"Sorry, Movie Maker can't start. Make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements before trying ti start Movie Maker again, then try to update the driver for your video card if Movie Maker still doesn't start."

Running:

Windows 7 Home Premium

4GB RAM

231GB available space

DirectX 11

Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

Driver Version 8.15.10.2266

DDI Version 10.1

Driver Model WDDM 1.1

I have checked that the driver is up to date using Device Manager.

I have deleted & re downloaded Movie Player from Microsoft site (Both 2012 & current version).

Windows Photo Gallery opens fine

Please help resolve

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, kept very up-to-date with the latest Win7 patches.

Before I run Windows DVD Maker, I always insert a brand-new, blank DL (8.5 GB) DVD into my DVD (Drive G:)

Then I run Windows DVD Maker, the bottom left always says "0 of 150 minutes" to begin with.

WHY?

Because of this, I cannot fit several files (4) which total less than 7 GB because Windows DVD Maker already says "will not fit".

WHY?

Many blog "experts" say to select the "right drive capacity" of "DL/9 GB" at the bottom of the screen.

WHERE?  There is no such thing.

Please help.

I am using an Acer Aspire laptop with  Windows 7 Home Premium.  I have been using Windows Livemail Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912) for a couple of years now.  Lately I have been getting a message that an update for Windows Essentials is available.  When I installed the update Windows Livemail seemed to disapear from my computer.  I had to do a system restore to be able to get Windows Livemail back so I don't have to go on-line to get my e-mail.  What is wrong with the update that is offered?  I made sure that all of the features were selected to be installed.
I have Windows Live Mail running on my pc with Windows 7 Home Premium.  There us nothing showing in my Quick Views apart from mail prior. to May 2012.  Having seen that many people have had problems since an update about then I have repaired WLM, uninstalled and re-installed it all to no avail. I have even re-installed WLM 2011 but that hasn't helped either. I have checked that Quick View is switched on, been through the "Select Quick Views" and am happy that they are as they should be.  I have two e-mail addresses one with gmail and the other with Talktalk.  I have checked the settings with those and again am sure that they are correct, having followed on-line instructions.  Has anyone solved this problem as I really would like help.  Many thanks

I cannot get my gmail account to open anymore with WLM 2011. Using Windows 7 Home Premium. It was working fine until recently. I have multiple accounts and they all work fine. I have tried turning off the firewall and anti-virus software, but still nothing. Have checked the settings multiple times and confirmed them with Google. I entered the same account information on a different computer on my network with Windows 7 Professional and it works.  Do you know what might be causing this?
