Question about Outlook Express

Windows Live Mail FAQ

My contacts are "offline," but I know they’re available. They can see me, why can’t I see them?

09. December 2012 · Write a comment · Categories: Messenger · Tags: Account, desktop, Facebook, microsoft, Microsoft account, outlook.com, phone, Status, Windows Phone

I have one contact on Messenger, linked with her Facebook, Twitter, and Microsoft Account. Whether I try to message her on my Windows Phone, Surface, or Windows 8 desktop, she appears offline, but I know she is available. She can see me as being available on her Windows Phone, and when she messages me, my phone suddenly sees that she is available, but only for about ten minutes. Her status then returns to "offline."

I have deleted her from my contacts and re-added her. I have synced my Account on my phone, and also gave her permission to see my details under Contacts via Outlook.com. Her status is available, and so is mine.

Error code 86000c4c. But i have no Windows Phones on my account.

I am trying to add my Microsoft Account to my NOKIA Lumia 822. But I am getting an error 86000C4C "Maximum number of devices". My Microsoft account is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.

Why do I now have a Microsoft account versus Hotmail – I can no longer stay signed in and have to sign in EVERY time!

My normal Hotmail sign in is changed to Microsoft Account and I always have to sign in even though I check the box to keep me signed in!  Why?  What is different now?  It'slike the who page is now changed to Microsoft.   What happened to my regular hotmail sign in?

Does anyone know e-mail address for hotmail support?

A message in my inbox from "Microsoft account team" said my e-mail would be closed because of multiple sign-ins from multiple computers.  I think this is a fraudulent message and I'd like to forward it to actual microsoft hotmail staff, but I can't find an e-mail address to send it to.  Can anyone help?  Thanks

Is this real or a scam regarding suspending my account1??

Hello,

I am receiving this email and when I went online for help, your site says to never reply to a email with your information and password.  Is this a hack or spam, please reply as I do not want my email to closed.

Thank you for your help!

How to hide my Microsoft account from Friend while I given them my email alias?

28. November 2012 · Write a comment · Categories: Messenger · Tags: address, communication, email, Live, Microsoft account, Windows, Windows Live Messenger
Hi,

I created a email alias - (removed).
I want to use this email alias as the communication instead of giving them my Microsoft account - (removed).

We communicate using Windows Live Messenger, but after they added the (removed), they can see my Microsoft account and also the original email address.

How can I hide my original email address from them?

Thanks.

Gentlemen:
As you can see from the correspondence below I am having difficulty finding someone who can help me.
I can’t get into my account to change information. I continually get a message that states my profile is unavailable.
I have been hacked several times and I need to correct my name. I would like to close this account but retain may name, “samtaxman”, and use it on a brand new account. I have downloaded my contact as a csv file so they may be imported. There just seems to be too many issues with this account. I have had it for over 25 years now.
Please advise me if I may or you can create me a new account with the same name and delete the old one.

    Johnette:
Thank you for a response I can begin to understand.
    Please not the following:
    1. My account has be hacked several times and apparently changing the password is not enough to keep the invaders out.
    2. My user name has bee change and I cannot get in to change it back. I did not change it to Sam Squirt. If was Sam Stein which is an alias I used to prevent my real name from being published on line. When I attempt to edit it, it keeps telling me my account is temporarily unavailable. I can not get in to modify or change anything other then my password.
    3. With respect to SkyDrive I don’t even have a clue as to what this is let alone post pictures on line. I did not create this so please feel free to close, delete or remove it, in it’s entirety.
    4. All I would like to continue to use is basic Hot Mail and the associated calendar and contact list. I do not get involved with any of the Social Media sites as I believe people are taking a sever chance publishing their personal information on such sites.
    5. My request was to completely wipe out my existing Hot Mail account and allow me to create a new account while retaining my email address of *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I haven’t cancelled the account from my side as I do not want to lose my email address which I have had for more years then I can remember.
Finally I don’t know if you can help me or if you can direct me to some who can.
    Thank you in advance.
