I posted an alternative email address, as requested, and have been sent back a link to reset my password. Great, you would think, how easy - NOT.  For the last 2 days i have got this message when i click into the link

"There's a temporary problem, There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.". 

I have now set up another hotmail account (this one) so that I can use this forum. BUT I need to get back into my other email address as everything is saved in there. When will the link work?  I have important documents on there that I need to access. This is a nightmare and I feel that you're not doing anything to help.  I presume you will be able to pick up my hacked EMail address?  If not what do I do? frustrated is an under estimation

Group emails – is there a limit on people?

I have finally managed to create groups for my contacts with help from this forum.  However when I try and email a group of people I can do it for a small group of 11 people but it won't let me send an email to another group which has about 200 people in it.  Is there a limit to how many people one can email at once?  Thanks

Can’t login to windows live msngr (error 800488eb).

I can't login to my windows live msngr and other services since few months ago, every time I try to login I get this error (error 800488eb). I did uninstall it, reinstall it, repair it, changed the date and time eventhough the issue still exist !!!

 

 I have followed all solutions proposed in this forum, but still I can't detect the problem !

 

Any help ?

Lost 9 months of emails/drafts/etc. Can not access rebuild

Good day,
I have a Mac with Outlook 2011 as my main address but have several accounts.

The computer blocked (mackeeper was trying to install without my consent) and I had to turn the machine off using the power button.

Since I have lost 9 months of emails and yet earlier ones are there. I made a full update to the time machine just a few weeks ago.

Having gone through your forum I thought the obvious answer was either to try to rebuild or to repair. I followed all the steps (closing all applications, copied the user file, trashed the old folder identity and copied the new one, etc.). And inspite even deleting entirely the "Main Identity" folder it keeps opening with all the other emails (except the missing 9 months) and it does not prompt to rebuild.

Please could you tell why this happened and how to effectively recover all my email.

i have windows7 and there is a contact in the pull down "to" of hotmail that does not appear in my contact list.  How do i delete it?

I received an e-mail from Microsoft Answers that "my question had been answered."  The "answer" was a post made a day before mine saying that person had the same problem?

I am new to this forum?  Is this a joke?  What does this mean?  Is this forum just a ruse?

      My hotmail page is apparently not loading correctly after logging in. Email messages are at the bottom of the page and when I try to access mail or delete messages, it just sits there and does nothing.

        Like all the others Hotmail will not load properly for 3 days now. It does seem to work with the Opera browser, but noting else.

        I have noticed that Messenger is always trying to load. The one time it did work on IE, messenger did not try to load. Is there anyway to disable Messenger?

        I know this is pointless, but is there any place to obtain technical support or at least information. I have "chatted" with 3 clueless people at Microsoft who tel lme to post on here and I receive a response withing 24 hours. One did say "our engineers are aware" of it and she apologized. At least I did not fall for the purchase of enhanced Hotmail - I intended to.

        Has anyone found a solution?

          I was trying to creat a new account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***) instead it change my original account(*** Email address is removed for privacy ***)  How do I get my old account back?  Please help!

          I am using "live.com"... I am assuming that it is a derivative of hotmail...
          if not and other rules apply, I still need the answer... please answer according to the needs and boundaries of "live.com"

          Saw this answer in your forum reference my question...
          "If you mean Groups for contacts, open your People pane and click the down arrow to the right of the word "All" that appears above your contacts.  Select the Group from the drop-down that appears.  This will show you which contacts are in that Group.  To remove someone from the group, check the box to the left of the contact, click the word Groups that will appear on the menu bar, and uncheck the group name.  Click Apply.  You can check more than one contacts at a time to remove them with a single operation."
          HOWEVER...  after a thorough search, I do not find the word "All" appearing anywhere... let alone above my contacts.
          Could you please provide a step by step procedure for someone to select the Group... open the Group to see what Contacts are in the Group?
