I received an email containing no attachments from a known and trusted friend.  I read the email and then tried to delete this email but instead of the email going into the deleted file I got a box that said "An unknown error has occurred".  There was no error number only the "OK" option to click.  I tried to move the message to the deleted file and still got the same box with the "An unknown error has occurred".  In the spot where the text of the email should appear it says "Message cannot be found".  I can delete/move any and all other messages in my inbox except for this one email.  I tried rebooting my computer and still the message's subject remains and I'm stillvunable to delete this email.  I contacted Microsoft and they told me they only support Outlook and not Windows Live Mail.  Can anyone HELP!

Hi there

I am writing on behalf, I have been trying to send an email for half an hour and it has given me Error Number: 0x800CCC7D. I found a thread that had the same problem and I followed the response in changing the outgoing port number to 25 as well as 587 and neither have worked. I have also disabled my firewall. Please advise, I'm lost as it isn't my account!!

This problem began on June 27, 2013 when I attempted to send an email from my laptop using a connection to the hotel WiFi.  A box popped up requesting user name and password for my account.  When I supplied the info a box would reappear requesting the info again.  This action repeats leaving me stuck in a loop.  The message remains in the outbox.  There was neither an  error number nor any detail description at this time.  For about a month, I was able to receive emails.  Now I can no longer receive emails.  The box requesting user name and password appears and reappears in a continuous loop.  The error number for this latest development is 0x800ccc90.  The error description reads--

Server Response: -ERR Auth-
Status: Invalid login or password
Server 'mail.hughes.net'
Protocol POP
Port 110
Secure (SSL): No

This problem occurs on my desktop at home as well as my laptop.  My ISP is hughes.net which is a satellite service.  I have done the following:

1. Checked for correct settings in my hughes account.
2. Reentered my user name and password.
3. Contacted hughesnet tech help.  They were unable to get my WLMail working properly.  They did confirm that I could send and receive mail properly at their hughes website.  They suggested that the problem has to be solved by WLMail.
4. Searched the Microsoft Forum for similar problems.  Tried all suggestions with the exception uninstalling and reinstalling WLMail.  None solved the problem.

I am hoping that someone can help me solve this problem.  I sure miss my WLMail.
When downloading Windows Essentials 2012 I get an error message which I cannot find in the list of usual errors. The error number is Ox80040609.

I keep getting error number 0x802F0028 with Windows Live Messenger. I cannot use it to Facebook chat. I cleared the contact cache and this did not help at all. There is almost no online help for this error code other than this site. It seems to be working fine with social updates and whatnot, but I know that people are signed into facebook and they are not showing up as online. This all started when I applied an update from windows. I uninstalled the update but that did not reverse it.  HELP
**EDIT**
It seems to be working now, but I think it might help Microsoft to know that their recent update seemed to cause the problem.
