why does hotmail contacts go to something called people when I click on it? I can't figure out how to add or delete contacts from existing groups. Can I go back to the classic view? If not, how is adding contacts to groups done?

The rainbow wheel appears on the computer screen and the Outlook program is stalled quite regularly. It happens every time I click on the program for any function (estimated frequency = 20 -30 times per hour). It is negatively effecting my productivity.
Are there settings I can change to stop this? Is this just what you get when you run a Microsoft product on Mac? I don't have this problem with Word, Excel or Power Point - just Outlook.
Any advice will help
It appears Hotmail has changed format for "contacts" - when I click on one of my contacts, I cannot find the information (addresses, phone numbers) I've stored on Hotmail. Where do I find it now?
Tell me how to get rid of Windows Live that opens when I click on inbox in Windows Live Messenger. I want to go straight to Hotmail as it previously did.
