I'm new to the Mac version of Outlook and can't find a feature I really need.  I often send standard email (either as part of an initial contact with someone or in response to a standard question).  In Outlook 2010 for Windows I can save stuff as "parts" and insert them into a blank email either to create a template which I then fill in or to simply insert standard text which I can then send.

Is there similar functionality in Outlook 2011 for Mac?  How would one send these type of standard email?
Hello,

We receive attachments that once we double click them, they show us a preview of our evite. I create folders in outlook to hold these saved attachments. I am not able to just drag the attachment into the folder directly in outlooks sidebar. I have to drag it to my desktop first and then I can drag the folder in outlook.
Is there a way to drag the attachment directly into the folder without having to drag it to the desktop first?

thanks!

I am a new Mac user and have accidentally moved my Microsoft user data to the trash but did not delete any contents. I have since put it back into "Documents". It contains Office 2011 identities, Outlook sound sets and saved attachments. I have looked on the forum on how to restore all my outlook informatiom as I had lost it all when I removed the Microsoft user data folder. I have held down the option key and started outlook, Main identity is highlighted. I push rebuild, it goes through the rebuild, but when I restart outlook, my folders do not re appear. Please help. Oh, and I haven't backed up with Time machine before so I cannot go back to before. I have also created my two email accounts again.
Outlook Email in Finder - I had thousands and thousand of duplicated emails in Finder and tried to delete the duplicates which caused me to REBUILD the Outlook DB - however, now Outlook will not open at all.  I want to start all over and reload(import) the OLD PST file from my HP to Mac Outlook but I want to make sure all those files are gone in Finder.  What should I do now?  Help!
After indicated update on 9/19/2012 - my view of my tasks was no longer synchronized to our university Exchange server.

When I create tasks in the Task view, they don't appear and don't even show up with a spotlight search.  However when I view Outlook via Web, the new tasks are there on the server; likewise when viewing through Outlook 2010 on Windows.

Similarly, if I check a task as completed, it does not get hidden from the local view in Outlook 2011 (as per my settings).  But it does register as completed on the Web view of the Server contents, or in Outlook on Windows.

I examined the folder properties and emptied the cache for Tasks on Mac Outlook 2011.  This wiped out the content of the Tasks view, but a new version was not downloaded from the server, unlike what was indicated in the properties view.

Original Title: Problem with Outlook 2011
After the most recent update for Office 2011, any message i delete from outlook will re apear when i click on the send recieve button. Has anyone else had this problem and figured it out?

if it helps any, im using a cox.net email account

We are running Exchange 2010.  We have a mixed Mac/Windows environment.  I have a couple users moving to Win7 from OSX.  They have some emails stored locally in Outlook 2011.  I need to export these and import them into Outlook 2010.  Microsoft in all it's infinite wisdom has setup Outlook 2011 to import from a .pst but cannot export to a .pst.  Any suggestions as to the best way to do this?  And before you post, no, throwing the emails back into their Exchange mailbox is not an option.  There are way too many of them.

Thanks
Original Title: Still having outlook out box problems...
Hi,

I posted on here a few weeks back about how my messages had suddenly started to become stuck in my outbox after previously working fine. I received a helpful response from Cortig at that time but am posting again because it's still not resolved. To re-cap:

I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac (with Lion OS) and my emails have suddenly stopped sending and are sitting stuck in the outbox. The error messages received are either 3259 ("an operation on the server timed out.....") or error 3260 ("Outlook cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network") with 3260 being the most recent and frequent. This is not an internet connection issue as all other internet programmes are working.

Its a small business POP account, I set it up myself and it has been working fine for for the last 3 months. I initially had this same problem (but can't remember the error message) and managed to sort it out by overiding the default port 25 and using 587 instead (picked this up on another forum and it worked fine). I have tried reverting the default port and using port 26, rebuilding the outlook database (holding shift or option when starting), and emptying all folders and restarting the programme. - I have also disabled the account and then re-installed it

Obviously I have tried using the email account remotely and this is working as normal so its definitely an Outlook issue. Have there been any recent updates or patches I've missed?

We're a small business (3 staff and no IT department) and I'm the only one having a problem. Any help or suggestions gratefully received

Since the above messages suggested a server error I have spent the last couple of weeks speaking with the people who host my website and email. They have found no problem their end and even managed to load my email account on one of their machines and have it working fine. This must therefore suggest a problem with my machine and they suggested I turn off any anti-virus software or firewall BUT I'm using a MacBook Pro with no antivirus software installed and the firewall disabled.....

Anyone know of any Mac updates that could have caused this? (as I said, it worked fine for months before this started).

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know as I am tearing my hair out here

thanks

I am running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on a MBPro. I have upgraded MS Office to 14.2.4 and finally got all Office Apps working except Outlook. It will open, but as soon as it connects to the exchange server it crashes. Error report is:

If I turn off wifi and work offline, no crashing. I have rebuilt database and created new identities multiple time to no avail. Problem is obviously between Outlook and Exchange, but what? This is a work issue, so any help is appreciated.
I tried to send some email with attachments.  The emails were too large and failed.  However, outlook keeps trying to send them over and over and they fail over and over.  I would like to get rid of the emails but they are not in the outbox or anywhere else that I can find --- I cannot find a way to delete them!
