I have deleted .olk14 files from my finder.  As a result I have screwed up Outlook and lost folders that had passwords, emails, etc.  Is there any way to recover these? My Outlook is not working either.  Do any of the recovery programs out there work?   I am sick about this!  I am using MAC OSX

Help?

Can someone tell me where Outlook mailboxes are kept in Finder?  I have Version 14.2.3. Thanks.
I'm trying to transfer my PC Outlook files to my iMac.

I've saved the pst files on a thumb drive.

The mac does not see the pst files on the thumb drive.  Not even in the finder.  The files are there - I see them when it's plugged into the PC, but not the Mac.  I see other files on the drive through the Mac - it's just not seeing the ones I need.

Any ideas?

My PC outlook is 2003
The PC is Windows XP
Mac is new.
Outlook Email in Finder - I had thousands and thousand of duplicated emails in Finder and tried to delete the duplicates which caused me to REBUILD the Outlook DB - however, now Outlook will not open at all.  I want to start all over and reload(import) the OLD PST file from my HP to Mac Outlook but I want to make sure all those files are gone in Finder.  What should I do now?  Help!
Hi Group,

I have been looking around on the forums and see similar items but not quite the same.

When i start, reply or forward a new email. i begin to type a few words and then i can not type anymore. i hear the thump sound that i can not type anymore. The finder seems to want to do something. Then i have to click back into my email i was composing to start typing my email again. sometimes happens 2 to 3 times per email. Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Alfonso

In Outlook 2011, I've noticed that double-clicking a JPG file from an email opens the default JPG viewer - in this case, Preview. Apparently, any document you open from Outlook 2011 is automatically 'Locked' - you can Get Info on the file in the Finder to see this automatic behavior. After it opens in Preview, saving the JPG out to any folder, especially the Desktop, returns an error saying: The document "nameofdocument.jpg" could not be saved as "nameofdocument.jpg". You don't have permission. To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info.

It doesn't seem to do this with PNGs, even though they too are locked by Outlook 2011 when opened from the email by double-clicking.

Now, I can drag it out of the email to the Desktop without issue as well as right-click the attachment and choose Save As..., but double-clicking, opening with default JPG viewer and saving from there always returns the above issue. Several others I know have reported similar behavior.

Any ideas?
