[ANN] Office 14.3.2 update

Office 14.3.2 is now available on Mactopia.

The new update brings a security fixes, but it also comes with a number of corrections for frustrating issues for Outlook itself.

From the release notes:

  • Contacts that were created in x500 format did not work in Outlook for Mac
    Fixes an issue in which messages that were addressed to contacts that were created in x500 format and sent in Mac Outlook were not deliverable.
  • BCC recipient was missing on Gmail IMAP draft message in Outlook for Mac
    Fixes an issue in which BCC recipients were not saved when you saved a draft message on an IMAP server.
  • Some contractions were marked as spelling errors in Outlook for Mac
    Fixes an issue in which letters before the single quotation mark in contractions were marked as misspelled.
  • Shared folders could not open other mailboxes that used Kerberos protocol in Outlook for Mac
    Fixes an issue in which shared folders could not be opened for accounts that used Kerberos authentication.
  • Coordinated Universal Time was not included when you created a calendar event in Outlook for Mac
    Adds Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+0 without a DST offset) to the list of available time zones when you create a calendar event.
  • Offline Address Book (OAB) was not updated correctly
    Fixes an issue in which OAB was not updated correctly for certain Office 365 users.

Custom reminder times for events

Just switched to Mac and am loving Outlook 2011, but I was accustomed to being able to set the reminder time for events to 2 minutes prior when I used 2010 on Windows. I found a thread to allowed me to use AppleScript to do this, which is a bit of a hack but at least I can. Could this feature please be added to the next version? 

Attachments Disappear from Sent Mail (Outlook for Mac 14.3.1)

After installing a few Office Updates attachments that I send disappear from mail in my sent folder.  The attachments are replaced with an ATT0000#.txt file (where # is a number 1,2, 3 depending on the number of files attached).  I have not been able to find a solution to this problem online.

Anyone else having this issue?  Anyone know of a fix?

Can’t delete a calendar item I created

Outlook 2011 for Mac: I want to delete a recurring calendar item that I created, only it won't let me. It gets stuck in my outbox and says
"You don't have the permissions required to send messages from this mailbox."

Because I created it I can't "un-accept" the invitation, and it won't let me cancel it. It tries to send from my outbox every 90 seconds or so. 

Is there a way to either figure out how to get my own permissions back for just this one item (all other items ok), or to just somehow delete this?

These 2 basic features, resizing of images in the body of an Outlook email and autoformatting of hyperlinks in Outlook,  do not seem to be available with Outlook on Mac when it is standard with Outlook on Windows. That kind of annoying features, or lack thereof, could drive my company to drop Outlook exchange in favor of a more Apple friendly email client, when Outlook is otherwise a perfectly fine and proven email client. Is there a solution for this? Currently or soon to come?

How can I stop an Microsoft Office 2011 Outlook email after I hit ‘Send’?

In Entourage I could hit Command period. But that doesn't work in outlook. And there doesn't seem to be an out box.
How crazy is that? As soon as you hit the send button you remember something or want to change something.

I have found if you hit Command 7 you can keep your progress bar up constantly and be able to hit the X possibly in time. Is there no way by default to keep the Outbox up all the time. Or a button you can press to stop outgoing email. This could force me shift back to Entourage or Apple mail... sighhhh.

Anyone know how to stop the email from shipping?
Any and all help appreciated.

Outlook fails to start

After an auto update Outlook fails to start - I have tried reinstalling but there is now an 'unrecognised identity' problem - the rest of office works.  Can anyone help please?

how do I fix error code: -17900
