Hello,

I am using Outlook 2011.  There is a distribution list in active directory window server which i am the owner of the group (IS-US).  There are 5 members in it.

With Outlook PC, I can just go to calendar, open calendar from address book, and view those 5 members' calendar.

However in Mac Outlook, permission is denied when openning it up from "Open Calendar"

Can anyone help fixing this issue?

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Dipo

Hello,

my boss bought an iMac. I installed Office 2011 on it.

He asked me to configure Outlook as he had on the old PC (with Office 2010)

He want sorts the email by "From" -> Show on groups -> Collapse all groups. That as default.

With Outlook 2010 I can do it, with Outlook 2011 i can do the same options, but when I move from Inbox to another Folder or i restart Outlook, when i come back in the Inbox I see all groups expanded and I have to collapse groups every time.

If i sorts by Size for exemple and i collapse all groups, that work. The problem is only with "From".

Anyone know how to fix?

Thank You and sorry for the english.

Suddenly yesterday my Outlook just stopped showing any incoming email. I can get emails to my mobile and PC. What should I do to get Outlook for Mac working again?

I did not change any settings while this happened, was just reading emails normally.

Br, Jussi
I am using Outlook with an Exchange Server 2007 from outside a company network. The address to this Exchange server is given as https://externally-reachable-address/EWS/Exchange.asmx . However, when I VPN in, apparently the Exchange server overrides this to be https://internally-only-reachable-address/EWS/Exchange.asmx and remembers the new address. When I stop the VPN connection, obviously the internal address is not reachable, so I will not get any email and scarcely a warning about this until I think to dive into the account settings and correct the address to point to the externally reachable address again manually.

For a number of reasons, staying connected with the VPN every second I want to use Outlook is neither preferable nor viable. How do I tell Outlook to disregard the change telegraphed by the server and keep using the address I entered manually?

(I know that manually remapping the internal server name to alias the external server name in e.g. the hosts file is a technical workaround - one that will create other issues instead and is not viable either.)
Last week I updated Office for Mac 2011 to the latest version - 14.3.6.  Since then I have been unable to send or receive e-mails in Outlook.  I keep getting a message that says "[SYS/TEMP] problem retrieving message".  I would appreciate any suggestions to fix the problem.
I just switched from Windows Outlook to Mac Outlook and am almost ready to go back to using Windows Outlook with Parallels.  One thing I'm really missing is having a big notification/alert dialog box with my reminder show up on the screen 15 minutes before a task.  This is what Windows Outlook did.  Right now, it seems my only option is to have the list of Office Reminders open all the time and then constantly check it to see if some reminder just came up.  Under System Preferences, it seems the only option for notification alerts is for e-mail, not tasks.   Am I missing something?

BTW, I have "Turn On Office Reminders" On.

Thanks, Susan
I can't create an email account in Outlook in Office for Mac 2011.

Am using a new MacBook Pro with OS X v.10.8.4, Outlook v. 14.3.6. I imported all my mail, contacts and calendar as a pst file from my old PC to the Outlook on Mac, and installed all available updates of Outlook for Mac.

When I click Tools > Accounts, the 'Add an Account' window does not show a green button (only red and yellow) and appears to be disabled - I cannot add an account. If I click on the + sign, Outlook freezes.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible to open a new email and go to one's address book to select all the people that the email is to be sent to?

I've been using Outlook on my PC and this can be done.

Now that I've purchased a Mac, I need to be able to do the same thing.

I don't want to create a "group" each time I send an email to several people.

I want to be able to go to my Address Book and select them all at one time.

I am using Office.Mac 2011....Outlook

I have sent an email today with 4 .jpg files as attachments.
The email keeps resending itself automatically. It has sent itself 10 times already.

It doesn't show as sent but each sending has been received.
There is nothing in the Outbox or drafts.

How can I stop this?
