Hi Folks,

I have recently upgraded Outlook 2011 from 14.2.2 to 14.3.6 through the online updates available. Since then i have noticed this behavior in my Outlook 2011, that it received email immediately after startup and then never retrieves any email for hours untill Outlook is restarted.

As soon soon as Outlook is started we get the following Status in Status Bar "INBOX : Determining Changes". Immediately New Mails from the IMAP server show up in the INBOX but the Progress Bar just Hangs and doesn't move at all. I have tried keeping the Outlook open for 4 hours after the initial sync and not a single message is retrieved from the IMAP server. This is an internal email server to my company where we receive emails and we have a web portal to it where i can see email arrive instantly but Outlook does not even poll for it at all.

I have tried all combination of advance settings configuration for IMAP server in outlook. Tried enabling IMAP idle too with refresh interval of 1 minute. Enabled Sync with a interval of 5 minutes and Mentioned only to download headers but still no help. Through the web portal and used on Thunderbird it works like a charm and new email are updated in realtime.

Polling for emails from IMAP in real time is very important requirement for me due to the nature of my work. This was working fine on Outlook 14.2.2 (there were delays of 5 to 6 minutes but that is acceptable than not retrieving email at all).

If any body can guide me in order to enable logs on Outlook 2011 then i can try to narrow down the issue.

Any inputs on this would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Shaik Zubair
How can I convert an ANSI formatted .pst to Unicode formatted .pst? I created the ANSI .pst's from Outlook 2002 for Windows, and I attempted to import the .pst files into Outlook 2011 for Mac. It appears that only Unicode formatted .pst files can be imported. The "Help" says just export the Outlook files from Outlook 2003 or later. That is NOT helpful, because I don't have access to Outlook 2003 or later.

A conversion program I downloaded can't convert the files unless I have Outlook 2003 or later for Windows installed. That means it is useless to me.

Can anyone advise me how to proceed

Thanks!

Can't access OWA on our Macs.  PCs work just fine.  Tried different browser to no avail.  Error I get is that Safari cannot open page because server blah blah blah
I can't seem to get our OWA to work on our Macs.  We have four of them and none of them are able to access OWA.  All of our PCs work just fine.  It doesn't seem to matter what browser is used.  Is there a Mac setting that is stopping them from being able to access OWA?  The message I get is that site is unavailable or some similar version of that depending on the the browser I use.
I am stuck in outlook activation window.  My product does not support Outlook, i know that now.  I cannot work out how to exit from the activation screen and I cannot shut the system down as Outlook stops this from happening.
Hi. We're using Office 365 and using the Outlook Web App. We have two users in our org that use Macs and neither of them can copy from Word (or any program other than the Outlook Web App itself) and then paste into an email in the Outlook Web App. We've tried this on multiple machines with different browsers. Does anyone else have this problem and how might we solve this? Thanks.
When I send e-mail messages to other Mac users, the e-mails stay consistent with font.  However, when I send to a PC user running e-mail on aol, the font sizes sometimes get changed.  It seems as though the sizes change when new information is typed or copied into a message.  My e-mail is running on outlook 2011 - a POP Account.  My Outlook preferences are set to Arial 13 for outgoing messages, but it is being changed to larger sizes when sent to this particular person...Any thoughts?  Thx
